What's the difference between the DVC Community Board and the Disney Vac Forum?

Is there a difference between the purpose of these two forums? What is it?

The DVC Community Board is for trip reports, countdown dances, welcomes, debates, etc.

The DVC Vacation Forum is for information type stuff (asking questions).

DVC forum is supposed to be for DVC "technical" questions...banking, borrowing, MS questions...and, so on.

DVC community is supposed to be for..well, anything else..trip reports, ROFR threads. I think those of us that like to be silly...me included....were beginning to get on the nerves of those who like to be "serious". So, they sent us to a "time out" room!!!! (Okay...please...no one be offended by this...I'm only HALFWAY serious!!!).

Half the time, I don't know where to post...my stuff gets moved sometimes...it doesn't bother me!!! I just assume I am usually "silly" and default to the community board!!

As a retired engineer (math junkie, techie sort of guy, etc), I put it this way:

If you're currently thinking with the right-side (half lobe) of your brain, you should be on the DVC Board.

If you're currently thinking with the left-side (half lobe) of your brain, you should be on the DVC Community Board.

Personally, I think this was a solution trying to find a problem. Half the time, I don't know if I'm posting in the right forum. And when I do post on one board, someone moves it to the other. Me thinks the moderators have too much time on their hands.

I don't know. I just looked at the Disney Vacation Club Forum and it's tough for me to tell the difference. If it's there, it's slight. It does seem slightly different, but not much.

Having said all that, I would say I spend more time in this forum than the other. I find it interesting and fun.
