What's the deal with hotelkingdom?

I've been trying dates for October for Cypress Pointe for a few days now...

I will arrive in Florida on a Friday, so I tried Friday, Oct 1 as date of arrival....since I'll be there until the next SATURDAY, I also tried dates with the Saturday arrival.

It's saying "No Friday arrival" and "No Saturday arrival"...

Anyone else run into this?

Seems like an increase in popularity, maybe, because I have noticed their rates inching up! (perhaps exposure on these boards, eh?)

We have been checking dates for November periodically, and now have discovered that "any" arrival date that we enter says "no arrival" for that day?????!
I have e-mailed them and asked them what is happening, when I get a response I will let you know.

In Sept they will start remodeling 3 of the buildings. (less rooms available) I think with the remodeling they have done, the rooms that are available (not being renovated) will be the nice new rooms or one of the buildings that was not bad enough to need remodeling. There should be more demand among there timeshare exchange group (RCI) that they will come closer to filling up with weeklong exchanges and will not need to go through Hotel Kingdom as much. CPGVs is not that much more and is very nice, I would stay there if you can get the dates you want. For more CP info:

Here is the response I received from Hotel Kingdom:

"Thank you for your email. They are remolding this property and they wont be available from September to December. However the Cypress Pointe Grand Villas is still open. If you have any additional questions please feel free to call us at 1-877-766-6787."

I shoulda booked it when I coulda....

May still try n' get it on SkyAuction, but that, too, is getting harder to come by...

Quick, those interested in CPR check your dates on hotel kingdom again, it seems to be allowing more dates now.
