I am assuming breatfast is a full buffet. But what about lunch & dinner? Is there meats and salad family style, and then you pick your entree off the menu, and then dessert is again family style? :confused3 thanks

Last year there was a buffet for the starters with bread cheese and meats then you pick your main course and they brng a famly style dessert

Actually, breakfast is not a full buffet. They have a cold buffet with fruits, pastries, etc. and then eggs, potatoes, bacon, sausage and biscuits are served family style.

What if I eat there solo?
How do they handle "family style" for one?

From what we saw, family style for solo diners was just smaller portions for the most part.

Okay now I have a qestion. What if every member of your family chooses a different entree. How is family style handled then? Oh okay I think I understand now.

Breakfast is the only meal that is entirely family style. During breakfast, there is no entree choices. During lunch and dinner, everyone picks their own entree but starters and desserts are served family style.

We're going in Aug...just haven't decided if we want dinner or lunch yet. But that little plate of desserts served "family style" won't work with my family of 7.....is the dessert, "all you can eat", so I can request another plate, or is that it..one plate per couple of people? How does that work....also I assume the cold buffet is "all you can eat"? :confused3

We did breakfast, not dinner...but they were happy to bring more of any specific thing we asked for.

Hi Mike,

I am sure they will bring a portion of dessert for the party size, we were just two people. The cold buffet was serve yourself all you can eat. Enjoy it, it is one of our favorites. BTW we did a late lunch around 4pm and we were like the only people there:cool1:

We ate there in May and it was 5 of us, they brought out 2 plates of dessert. So I am sure the more in your party the more patters they bring out. I would not consider lunch/dinner family style there, really the only thing you share is dessert. Everything else is individual, the Kold Bar is like a salad bar and each get to choose their own entree from a list of things like pasta, fish, and traditional meatballs. There is really something there for everyone!

I just got back from Disney, (first trip!) We did the Princess Storybook dinner at Akershus and I wasn't impressed by the food. There was a cold buffet of some meats, cheeses and seafood. the dinner and dessert you just chose from a menu and they brought it out. If you're looking for character dinner, it was worth it for all the princesses but I wouldn't go for the food.

What did you order and was it any good? Not very familiar with food from Norway. Which meal is the most filling?

LOL! Breakfast is well, just breakfast. The buffet had fruits and pastries, then they bring scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage and a yummy cheesy potato dish family style to the table. Plus coffee and juice. All you can eat so it was plenty filling. The potatoes were absolutely scrumptious and both my DD's loved the cinnamon rolls too.

Haven't tried lunch or dinner, but would definitely go back for breakfast!

They have amazingly yummy grilled cold asparagus on the cold bar and then hot grilled asparagus with some dinners. I was so deprived of "greens" I think I ate about 25 asparagus all on my own. HAHA!

Was that the famous School Bread in the middle of that dessert plate? I saw a picture of one and it looked similar.
