What's the deal with 10 and 30 day passes?

Hello,

I am new here though not to Disney and am planning my third trip for this coming September (HOORAY!). I have done some reading on this site and discovered the existence of the 10 day world passes and the 30 day passes that are offered by Paramount. I am kind of nervous about investing in these because I am so used to the "if it sounds to good to be true...it probably is" school of thought. Can I get some testimonies from people who have bought and used these and how it went? Has ANYONE had problems, either with Paramount or using the tickets? I am really excited at the prospect of being able to get these tickets for $310 (for the 30 day passes), but why are the 30 day passes CHEAPER than the 10 day passes? This makes no sense to me and that is what starts to make me nervous :)

Thanking you in advance for any light you can shed on the subject. I REALLY appreciate it!

We bought both from paramount. Last year we used the 10 day passes. NO PROBLEMS. When the 30 day passes became available we bought 3 of those for our next trip. With the 30 day pass you recieve a voucher that you turn in at guest relations (located in every park) I can't tell you why one is cheaper than the other. Paramount is awesome to do business with and i will defiantly use them again! It is a great deal and a huge savings over a PAP (520.00) I would only get the PAP if i had another trip planned within a year. The 10 day is available over the internet, the 30 day is only available over the phone 1 888 281 6699

Thank you so much for responding. I am happy to hear a positive report.

Is the 30 day pass the same thing (in terms of what it will get you) as the 10 day pass and the ultimate park hopper tickets? I am just wanting to verify that this includes entry to all 4 main parks, pleasure island and disney quest (I know it includes other stuff too, but these are the ones I am most concerned with). Does the 30 day pass also include the free character breakfast? How do you get the 10 day pass? Is that a voucher as well? I assume you just show up at guest relations and trade the voucher in for one of the plastic cards, is that right?

Thank you again!

Are these passes for 10 or 30 consecutive days or like a park hopper and any unused days you can use whenever???

I would be interested in the 30 if it is not consecutive, especially if it is cheaper than an AP.

They are consecutive, from the first date of use. They include a character breakfast of your choice. You can access all the parks and park hop between them. I have bought the 30 day fun in sun passes and they include the space center and other places of interest in Florida. I thought the 30 day one was only available if you lived in the UK. We had to buy ours over the phone.

Thanks DisneyBB. They would be a no go for me, I guess I will just stick with the APs.

If you are interested in the 30 day then phone paramount they may have changed their policy. The 10 day can be sent anywhere and seems good value. I have heard of people in the US getting the 30 day pass, so it may be worth trying.

We just bought four 30 day tix. Rosa at PIT is very nice, the vouchers are shipped UPS for signature delivery. They come with breakfast vouchers and if you can take advanatge of getting over to the Space Center - it's all gravy.

These passes are almost less expensive than the DS 7 Day PHP with DC discount, even including the $15 shipping charge.

Rosa and PIT stand behind their tickets and have an office in Orlando (in case there was a problem). I researched ticket purchase options for over two months and I think the 30 Day Fun In The Sun Passes are the best kept secret in the World.

Can anyone please tell what other places are included in the 30 day pass? My sister, BIL and niece are going to join us in WDW in July and want to go to some non-Disney (gasp!!) places. Thanks for any help

We will be going to the Space center before WDW. How does the voucher work at the Space center? I've read where you turn the voucher in for a WDW ticket, but haven't heard how to use it anywhere else.

dznyacct, Mousesavers lists the other places on their website at
http://www.mousesavers.com/tickets.html

Regarding the Space Center, I asked Rosa about that, and the response I got was that when we turned in our voucher at Guest Services at MK, we would basically get a packet of stuff, and included in that packet would be vouchers for the Space Center. We are also planning to go there, but in the middle of our trip. Someone else who has gotten the 30 day pass could maybe verify this?? My vouchers aren't coming until tomorrow, so I can let you know what I get in the mail after I get the delivery!!

I took the plunge today and finally ordered the 30 day passes. I asked Rosa about going to the Space center before WDW. She put me on hold, then came back and read something that basically said I had to turn the vouchers in at WDW before I could use it anywhere else. Anyone know if I can turn the voucher in at DD or do I have to go to a maingate of one of the parks? I'll have some time the day we arrive to do this and thought DD would be fastest and easiest!

Yes, you can use guest services at DD. Have a great time!

Anyone know if you purchase the 10 or 30 day if they can deliver to the hotel or if you can pick it up at the Orlando office?

It is mailed to your home. I see that you leave in 5 days. I don't think you have time. Someone mentioned that PIT has moved and no longer has a ticket store to go to in orlando. You should call PIT and ask what would be best in your situation. 1 888 281 6699
