Just curious what's the cheapest you've done Disney before?

Please include length of stay, how many people in party and how did you save money on dining... by using the ddp or not.

Thanks!!

Do you REALLY want to know? Cause it's not available any more, and it wasn't available to the general public anyway.....

$66 a night at the Contemporary, 2003.
Shades of Green was being rehabed and offered soldiers and vets rooms at the Contemporary for this cheap (depending on rank).

It was fab. We stayed 10 nights, family of 4. Park tickets I think were more expensive then cause you HAD to buy the hoppers/water parks/non-expiring.

I want to say that with airfare, food, tickets, and hotel we paid about $3500.

:)

But the cheapest I have gotten a room at Disney without using a military discount is $92 at POR.

We save on food costs by not doing DDP and splitting entrees (sometimes). Then again, sometimes we have saved on food costs by doing DDP- it all really depends on where we want to eat.

Probably was the $39.00/night employee rate at the Swan in 2002. My daughter worked, at that time, for a Sheraton, so we got the employee rate on 2 rooms. There were 2 adults in one room, two adults, two kids in the other. I think we were there for 8 or 9 days.

We save money on food by eating some meals in the room. Most days we have at least one meal in the room (either breakfast or lunch-some days both) and eating off site. Many days, we eat only one meal a day in the parks, plus some snacks.

Besides staying free at my sister's DVC, the cheapest was $49 at Pop Century- mailed code in 2006
We are not big eaters and could never get our money's worth out of the dining plan. Disney portions are huge, sometimes even more than two of us can split. We share all meals/desserts and only do one table service meal in a week.
While there are a few snacks we love at WDW, food is not the focus of the trip.

$49--it was a rate that I got for Pop. This was a code a few years ago.

Bought points into a DVC, Old Key West for $800 for the week. I search online and found a forum (might've been here on disboards) and got a 1 bedroom Villa. SWEEET deal. Loved the place! $800 sounds like a lot, but not for what we got - a one bedroom villa in a deluxe DVC resort for 7 days...can't beat it.

3 years ago we stayed at ASmusic for 58.00 per night- no codes, just a general special for anyone- good deal as we used Magic express and saved some $$$

My cheapest of the best was also the Contemporary at the Military rate. That was a great stay but I only stayed 3 mights. Wish I had stayed more but had to get home.
My family all vacationed together to celebrate my end of chemo and radiation and stayed at POP for $49 a night. We had 6 rooms and stayed for 7 nights. That was a great trip, we sat on the balcony like trailer trash after the parks and all got drunk. My son's room was decorated in beer cans,(filled the entire window). No one else was on that side of the building so we didn't bother anyone just in case anyone was going to call us on it.

$635 for a 3 night Thur, Fri, Sat night stay in November in a 2bedroom at Saratoga Springs for my brother and friends of his - bill was divided in half so his part was actually $217.50. It was $5 a point and they really had a blast!

I too got that deal about 2 years ago for a Nov/Dec visit. We stayed at Pop.

About 8 years ago? Maybe longer we got CSR for $80 a night. It was our first time at a moderate and our last. resort snob here. At that pice though I had to try it.

Oh and cheapest "deluxey" type. we booked at the Swan when it was being built. Because there was construction going on we got the room for $75! It was NYE weekend! I couldn't believe that one. They were just trying to get people to stay there and try it out. We also stayed at the Dolphin later when they ran a similar promo.

August/September 2007... we stayed at Saratoga Springs Resort, with the free Disney Dining Plan, 3 people, for a little over $80.00 a night! And at that time the DDP was not only free, but it included tips!

We were set to stay at All Star Music during the free DDP period but were notified in June that we had received a free upgrade to SSR! :thumbsup2

It was a dream vacation! :goodvibes

My cheapest room was last year, we stayed in a 1 bedroom at Saratoga Springs. I rent DVC points every year, and last year, I found someone who was renting them for $8/point. We stayed for 10 nights and it was my husband, myself, my two boys and my niece. When the guy I was renting from found out that I was taking my niece for what was probably the only vacation she would ever have, he lowered it to $6/point. He even ended up giving us like a night worth of points for free because he said he didn't want to try and rent out that few points. We didn't really save on a whole lot more on that trip though. He was awesome and it was really nice to have someone do something nice for us, while we were trying to do something for our niece that she will never experience again.

Our first Disney was in 2001. I was able to book All Star Sports for a week for $49.00 a night using a code someone posted from a magazine.

Our first trip in 2003, we stayed at CBR for something like $79 per night, the first week of June. We went back the next year for slightly more, maybe $86 a night. Both stays were with codes found on here or Mousesavers.

we got a coupon for half price the year after 911 so we booked POR for 59.00 :cool1: a night and stayed for a week. Spoiled us now we are always looking for discount so we can book moderates. Really had a great time, would have been perfect if we knew about the dining plan at that time.:thumbsup2

Spring Break 1995 - CBR - $39 a night because we called that day.

May 1997 - two bedroom, two story, two and a half bath, full kitchen townhouse at Disney Institute for $150. 50% off rackrate

June 1998 - BWV Studio $150. 50% off rackrate

July 2005 - $89 POR and CSR

A couple trips ago, don't remember which exactly probably 2004 we stayed at the All Stars for $42 a night. It would be nice to get that again this year!

Thats amazing. We def paid around 237 a night at SSR last year and the room was nothing more than a hotel room. nothing fancy, and we were so far away from everything the only time we went to the food court was when we were checking out. After that trip, I'll never stay deluxe again!

ps. i love when ddp included tips!

I used to get those discounts 49 a night etc...also AAA discounts...The past 3 or 4 years we have taken advantage of the free dining plan so we have been paying full price but with a family of 6 free dining is worth it! You can;t get discounts on rooms when you get free dining? CAN YOU?
