What's the Catch? Annual Pass Help

I'm super confused. Am thinking about buying an AP for our trip using the one with Black Out dates. I looked at the Black Out dates and they are not when we would be there. Seems like that AP is the same price or less as our ticket (4 or 7 day pass). So why wouldn't I want this one? Does it not qualify me for AP rates at hotels or something? I am sure I am missing something and you guys know EVERYTHING. Any info would be appreciated.

The only pass with blackout dates is the power pass. It is only available to Florida residents. If you are a Florida resident and it meets your needs, there is no catch. It provides no discounts for anything except tickets and has no free parking.
