What's the best way to make final payment?

I have plenty of time to ponder this, but what's the best way to make final payment? I'm guessing by credit card for the protection, but alternatives are debit and check.

I personally like to use my Disney Visa Credit card - especially for large purchases. I get my rewards too.

A credit card that offers some type of reward that you pay off in full each month. Credit cards offer more protection than any other method of payment. The rewards, especially on large purchasing are nice. The only downside is interest if you don't pay it off each month.

Thanks, but I'm not concerned about rewards, but more about protection if something goes wrong.

Your ONLY protection will be with a credit card ... banks usually don't guarantee large purchases made by debit card, and definitely not anything paid for by check.

we used our visa debit for our last cruise. no problems what so ever. we will use our disney visa this time around for the rewards though.

Any credit card is best. And make sure Disney charges it, not your travel agent. Then you won't get stuck as some have if the Travel Agent goes out of business. Same with airfare, make sure the airline is the one making the charge to your card, not the travel agent.

Very possibly. Federal law specifies protections for Credit Cards. There are no protections by law for Debit (Visa Check) cards. Most banks offer some form of protection that is similar to Credit cards, but this can vary from bank to bank. Best to check with your bank to see what type of protections they would offer and how it would apply for a cruise purchase.

If you use the Disney Visa you not only get protection and rewards but also 6 months to pay without interest.

I've always found that the best way to make the final payment is to use somebody else's money.
