:flower: I going on the Magic in November what is the best thing to do while'll your there? does it mater what time a year you go? :p :earsboy: ::MickeyMo :cool1:

Depends on what you like and if you are traveling with kids in your party, or adults only.

We did it all on Castaway Cay. We just returned 2-13-05. We rented the kayaks and chased down a couple sting rays in the ocean - very fun. Rented the water trike - a lot of work in the wind and less fun. Went on the jet ski excursion - very fun, very interesting. Snorkeled - fun, but did not see a lot of fish. Rented bikes - a little fun, got to see a part of the island we wouldn't have otherwise. Banana Boat - lots of fun, very wet, especially if you sit in front.

Do you book the Banana Boat on the island?

I guess you could if there was openings but you can book it 90 days in advance with the rest of your excursions.

A morning bike ride out the biking trail. Then to a nice spot on the far side of the beach (not far from where you turn in your bikes). Then lunch at Cookies.

What a Day!

(haven't tried the banana boat ride, but we might do that on our next visit).

Another vote for the Banana Boat Ride!!!

My favorite thing to do is sit back with a good book, a nice frosty drink and a comfortable hammock and just relax. I know, I can do that anywhere, but I just loved sitting there and taking in the atmosphere on our last cruise. It was like heaven!

That said, my kids would say the best thing to do would be parasailing!

new at castaway key is the "funcats",they are a 2 seater motor ride that cost the same as the trikes but you do not have to work hard at it. The boat is covered with drink holders and has 2 switches that cause you to go forward or reverse.A nice ride and the only hard work is getting on the thing and getting off.

DGF and I did the Wave Runner Eco Tour last December and had a blast. You ride out on wave runners (single or double) and make a few stops, where the quide describes the formation of the islands, and points out plant and animal life. Getting to ride a wave runner next to the ship was really cool. It's about $95 per person for a single rider and $135 for a double rider. We chose to each go single.

I don't know if all those additions are necessary. The two times I've been (once me and my boyfriend and once my sister and her kids). We just laid on the beach, swam in the ocean and pigged out at Kookie's BBq. I don't know if those other things are necessary.

:wizard: You definetly have to go with the banana boat. Snorkeling is also really cool there, if you dont mind a pretty far swim. And (if you can handle it) I went parasailing there and it was amazing. :earsboy:

Our favorite thing was swimming for a while then laying back with a cold drink. Very relaxing! :cloud9:

Beachchair, sun, sand and a "bucket of beers"!!!!!

Funny how "food" and "drink" are mentioned so many times!Haha. After all the huge meals eaten during the previous 6 days, Im surprised how hungry everyone appears to be! Personally, we like to walk or cycle to Serenity Bay and back - taking in all the sights and sounds on route. By that time we have worked up an appetite..............so we join the other 2500 hungry people in line! Nat :cool1:

On our Thanksgiving Westerns we have 2 stops, first and last days.............LOVE IT!!!!

ummm..... i have a urge to make some banana boats on the grill...

 ....watch out mr.dancing banana your going to be dessert!!
