What's the best thing about Newport Bay?

Inspired by the fab Sequoia Lodge thread, I thought I'd ask the same question about NBC. What's the best thing about the hotel? Is it the rooms, the bars or the pools?

Craving information to see me through the next two weeks!

I like the rooms, I like the reception area with the giant globe, I like the pool and I LOVE that it's walking distance to the village, then straight into the parks.

I like the grandeur of the reception area, the lightness of the rooms, the view we had with a balcony of Lake Disney and the beautiful walk every morning in the mild May weather around Lake Disney-lovely to feed the ducks with left over food from breakfast. Saying that I still do prefer HNY (sorry but I couldn't resist slipping that in) Staying at DLH in one weeks time so it will be interesting to see if it beats out HNY.

I echo what Tia and Nicola have already said - I love the lobby, and the decor is very bright and fresh. I know the bedrooms are fairly standard, though very nice. But the main part of the hotel does feel quite grand - always fun for me, who usually holidays in homely self-catering cottages!!
