We're headed down in mid-August for our first trip. It will be our first time pulling the TT through the mountains. What's a good place to stop for the night? We're fine stopping at a rest stop, Walmart, Cracker Barrel, etc. Doesnt have to be a fancy campground. Just don't want to accidentally decide to stop in a shady area, or have the sherif pounding on my door for over-extending my welcome somewhere.

I would like to know as well, as we are driving down for our trip to the cabins in January.

What route will you be taking? How far do you want to get?

We are from North Central Ohio and will be leaving on June 10th. in the afternoon. I have made arrangements to overnight at a Cracker Barrel in Corbin , Ky. just off I 75. I called the mgr. and he was very accommodating. Hope that helps.

We have stayed at the Forsyth Ga KOA. Easy on/off and 7 hours from The Fort and reasonable. The best part is when you go this far you've passed Atlanta. If you can make it 2 more hours there is a Cracker Barrel or Southern Gates RV park in Arabi Ga.

when we travel that route out of STL we to have stayed at that foryth KOA. its easy in and out. If I recall there is no gas station on exit. Also there is a great BBQ place either just north or south like 1-2 exits, sits off about 1/4-1/2 from interstate. think south of foryth and east side just tried to google and did not find it.
