I finally got reservations this year for Le Cellier and saw three different meals that I would choose from. Please tell me what your favorite was and why it was so good:goodvibes

New York Strip Steak

Coffee rubbed Kansas City Strip Steak

or

Le Cellier Mushroom Filet Mignon

Thanks! :thumbsup2

can you request to switch your side dish? I would really love the au gratin potatoes or the cream cheese mashed potatoes!

I'd really like to know about the coffee rubbed strip. I've had the filet and it was good. Thought I'd try something different this time. Anybody have a review? :flower3:

I want to know the same thing DisneyJill!!!

bump!

me too! coffee rubbed steak sounds really interesting, but want to get a live person's review on what it actually tastes like...the menu also said something about hazelnut butter...sounds yummy! This was on the allears site, and the disboards menu doesn't have this steak listed, so not sure if it's always on the menu?

We ate at LeCellier on Nov 2, 09 for DD's Bday dinner

yes you can. And the cream cheese mashed potatoes are awesome! Can't speak for the au gratin as we always get the cr ch M potatoes. ;)

There was no coffee rubbed steak listed on our menu on 11/2. Not sure if it is randomly offered or what. But I know it was not on our menu that night. Also, I got the other glaze on the filet and nixed the mushrooms. They offer the other glaze for lunch so they can still do it at dinner time, but it's not on the dinner menu. I think it is like a BBQ style glaze. I like it much better than the mushroom one.
Be sure to try the cheddar cheese soup w/ bacon. YUM!! I love to dip the pretzel bread in the soup. I could make a meal out of just that. LOL!

thanks for your post! The one thing I know for sure I will be getting is the cheddar cheese soup. Guess I'll have to wait until February to see what kind of steaks are on the menu!

We are also going to Le Cellier for the first time in February. I told my DH that I'm just going to order for him after reading all the reviews here!
He's going to get:
Either the Caesar salad or the cheese soup
Filet with no mushrooms and cream cheese mashed potatoes
Chocolate Mousse

looks like we'll be there the same time! We'll be having dinner on the 24th!

The last time we went we substituted the cream cheese mashed potatoes for the risotto. They were fine but the next time we go I'd like to try the risotto.

Thank you SOOO much for that info, as I did not know that. The BBQ glazed filet is our favorite, and we were very disappointed to see it not listed anymore on the menu. I'll be sure and ask for that. And BTW, I totally agree with you about the cream cheese mashed potatoes, and the pretzel bread dipped in the cheese soup. Great minds think alike! LOL

I voted for the filet but that is for the steak not the risotto. The risotto is too salty almost to the point of being inedible. It gets worse every time we visit and next trip I think I will ask to substitute the cream cheese mash potatoes.

I get the Filet mignon with the cream cheese potatoes and coconut slush!!! I have dining plan, so I can pig out!!!!!!!:[/COLOR]yay:

mmmmmm! I had the cowboy cut ribeye, and DH had the porterhouse. They were both delish!!

we were there on 11/6 and I got the coffie rubbed steak with fries and it was YUMMY!
