We will be donw there the first week of october with the whole family but the wife and I would like to have a nice romantic dinner date while we are there. What restaurant would you suggest or suggestions in general for the evening?:lovestruc

My Vote-Jiko! DH and I had a wonderfully romantic dinner there. Great food, lovely atmosphere. The service from start to finish is first rate.

You may be limited by what's available...might want to pick up that phone pronto and see whether Jiko, Flying Fish, Artist Point, etc are available for priority ressies, and what time.

Welcome to the Dis.....Romantic, you say, well I like Artist Pointe at Wilderness Lodge, darkened and done in dark wood and service is good, food is good too. I also like Citrico's in the Grand Floridian, which is excellent in the food department with good service as well.

My Hubby and I have gone to the Cali grill for most of our special occassions. We always try to reserve around firework time. The view is the best anywhere!

The last time we went it was Grad Night in Disney so we had a great view of some of the party's going on throughout the MK.

If money isn't an object, see if you can get into Victoria & Alberts for Dinner. Dining there was one of the most romantic things DH and I have ever done in our life. TRULY incredible.

(Before dinner DH was saying that this was something that he was glad we were doing once in our life, by the middle of dinner he was talking about next time and by the end of the night he wanted to try for the Chef's Table! :rotfl: )

While I totally agree that CG is GREAT - if it's romance you're looking for you're not going to get it here at fireworks time. It has been a madhouse during this time each of our last several visits with this February being the worst.

That said, I would definately experience CG at another less romantic time, though.

I have to go with Mackey Mouse on this one and say Artist Point. Just beautiful with great food and atmosphere.

Another vote here for Jiko. Very quiet, plus the Animal Kingdom Lodge is a GREAT place to explore and take a walk on the grounds after dinner.

There flatbreads and scallops are to die for!

We have been to all of the above mentioned restaurants and our most romantic dinner was at Bistro de Paris. Of course, it was on Valentines Day (and they gave me a rose), they had a special menu and we were seated next to a window and could see the fireworks from Illuminations. I didn't see any kids there that night.

All good responses - it's hard to chose from them all and you wouldn't go wrong with any of them.

My preference would be Artist Point, especially with a later (say 7:30 or after) meal time. Then go for a walk along the shore, watch the geyser go off, catch the Electric Water Pageant, maybe take a boat ride over to the Contemporary and back.

Another good suggestion is Bistro de Paris. Aim for 7:00-7:30 so you are done just in time to catch Illuminations. Then walk the long way around World Showcase on your way out.

Narcoossee's is my vote. Again like you said have a later ADR enjoy wishes across the water, great view of the castle, music piped in... Also the Electric Water Parade comes right by. Perfect romantic evening! By the way, the food is the absolute best in the world.
