Whats pressed pennies

I have heard a lot about them, but what are they? Whats so cool about them?

There are machines in various places all over WDW. You put in 2 quarters and one penny, and the penny gets "pressed" with all different characters on them. Usually, each machine has one character that it makes, on some machines there are multiple choices.

They also sell books with small clear pockets in them to save your pennies and display them in. All three of my kids bought one of the books, they are pretty neat to save the pennies in.

They also have them for quarters.

We have been passively collecting them for the past six years. Just another fun thing to do.

The pressed coins are "neat" souvenir that the kids enjoy doing...we always bring rolls of quarters and pennies to be ready for the pressing!!

I love them.. I havent really gotten into them but last trip DD8 got a few.. she thought it was neat to see the different ones.. I have been putting back my quarters and pennies and when we go back Im gonna buy a pressed penny book and do this.. its a cheap souvenir and the kids think its fun to find them..
