Whats our chances?

Can anyone tell me what our chances are for getting side by side sites. CM told us they would try upon our arrival.

Thanks, Happy to be here. Just talked to another CM (very nice) told us to call 3 days before arrival and everything should work out. He said FW get packets 4 days before people arrive and are told to hand out sites as people check in but if you call 3 days before they will go ahead and issue your site. We'll see what happens.

I would actually think across from each other would be better because they have no side to side sites where you could see each other. Unless one of you parks in backwards and runs the electric and water underneath the trailer.

Across from each other would be great. We just want to make sure the kids are close enough to play with each other. Let's just hope they don't have to much togetherness by the end of the week.

When you call just have them link your 2 ressie numbers together. You shouldn't have a problem. We have done this with 5 campsites already and not had a problem.

Last year our son got the site next to ours, and he came in a week after us.

Im glad someone asked about getting 2 sites together, but my question is, how do they work a grand gathering so that 12 or so campers are together? Do they reserve a whole loop for us? I know we are going until Octobor of 2009, but I just have this picture of us all being scattered throughout the park. I have never done a grand gathering before so if anyon has any info on what to expect that would be great.

I agree, across from each other would probably be better than side by side, cause then you would just be facing the back of their camper.

And as others have said, they will try, but there is no guarantee. Although I would say your chances are normally above average

When we got there last month, we had GG#, we asked for sites together, and we called ahead. We did get the same loop, but a MILE apart, so no guarantees.

I have heard that they prefer faxes to calls. That way the assigner can sit down with the pieces of paper and take the time to assign folks the best way. If you call, they may be in the middle of a million things at the time of your call and their hen scratched notes may get lost in the shuffle.

I read on here that later this year they will be changing the res system so you can book site #'s. Not just a spot. That will make it alot easier to get 2 together.

just 1 person should call, fax..... of course if it doesn't work all eyes will be on YOU..........
