Never Too Late - Three Days Grace
--------
Posted it somewhere.

"I wish it would snow," he purred, purposely keeping his gaze pointed away from his friend and locked on the clouded sky. Everything was icy and breathless, and even though the ground he was sprawled on had long since lost its grass and become hard, the day was beautiful in a cold, way.

"The weather's perfect for it; all it would really need is a bit of, aha, coaxing."

He smirked and nosed around in the dinner bowl that had been set before him to check again if there was anything that had escaped his tongue, flinching a little at the cold metal but trying not to show it. Stay casual, that was the key. There was already frost lacing the fringe of his mane, and his skin rippled and shuddered every time the wind gusted, but as soon as his friend realized this, the shrubby punk would be even more stubborn about it. Luxio watched the little tree roll his eyes and shuffle away in annoyance as he made a show of licking the bowl perfectly clean while gazing wistfully at the sky.

An irritated sigh could barely be heard above a sudden gust of wind as he finished and turned mild eyes toward the pokemon in front of him, Snover's over-dramatic way

"No. It's too cold. Snow is wet, and wet plus cold plus flesh-"

"Exo-skeleton," Luxio offered. Snover glared and continued.

"Exo-skeleton, then, equals not good. Equals frostbite. Equals freezing to death. And I'm sure he'd appreciate that. Going to sleep with a head full of glittery white visions and romantic thoughts of a winter wonderland and waking up frozen to the ground. Merry Christmas, buddy!"

He prodded the ground with a foot and rooted around some, a habit he had developed recently that cropped up whenever he got nervous. Luxio smiled inwardly at the concern he was trying not to show, but the guy really did need to worry a touch less. The team already had one nervous wreck and that was more than enough. He raised a paw and looked at the huddled ball of slender limbs and rustling wings snuggled tight against his flank for warmth, breathing softly as a whisper into his fur and felt himself soften a little towards Snover's point of view.

He did look awfully frail, lying there like that, and this frigid area was already hardly an ideal enviroment for bugs without adding anything else. Maybe it wouldn't be a good idea after all...

No, this was something he really wanted, and it would definitely be worth it. Besides, their trainer had mentioned a Pokemon Center somewhere in the area ahead, though they hadn't had time to reach it before supper, and if anything happened they'd easily be able to reach it. There really wasn't much to worry about, besides getting this thing in motion. He puffed out his chest and grinned charmingly at Snover,

"What, you don't think I could take care of him?" He rubbed the giant cricket's neck and drew him closer. "Come on, nothing bad'll happen! You're just being overprotective, which isn't your job. If anything it's his. "

Snover nodded at this, but it wasn't a very agreeable nod. He rolled his eyes toward Luxio, who looked suddenly slightly sheepish.

"Well you're right there, I'll admit. Okay, we'll go ahead and do something amazingly dangerous 'cause it'd be fun, I'm sure he'd do the same."

Heh, something I was writing. Eidelwiessshipping. He he.

HIM:
Was I dumb or was I blind
Or did my heart just lose its mind
Why'd I go and throw our perfect dream away
HER:
Looking back I'll never know
How I ever let you go
But destiny could see we deserved to have another day
BOTH:
Love led us here
Right back to where we belong
We followed a star
And here we are
Now heaven seems so near
Love led us here
HIM:
I confess it's sad but true
I lost myself when I lost you
But I held your mem'ry through each lonely night
HER:
Let's forget what's gone before
Now we both know so much more
And we've been given another chance to make it work out right
BOTH:
Love led us here
Right back to where we belong
We followed a star
And here we are
Now heaven seems so near
Love led us here
HIM:
Now I know that life can take you by surprise
And sweep you off your feet
BOTH:
Did this happen to us or are we just dreaming
We followed a star
And here we are
Now heaven seems so near
Love led us here
HIM:
So take my hand
HER:
And have no fear
BOTH:
We'll be alright
Love led us here

Yay, Muppet music! Muppets are fun. :teeth:

Aw, geez. Get us all high and stuff with the excellent shippiness last week and then drop the ball like that. Just goes to prove how much consistency can help the show, I guess. Two weeks ago there was an episode that set up a scenario, then the next week it was followed through to awesome results. This week? Something completely different that more or less sucks. Come on, writers, is it too much to ask that they all get on the same page?

Still...*flails* Argh, I need to see those Cacnea episodes now! Anyone have YouTube links, maybe? Those pics from the second one were just too darn cute! (And that's what really irritated me about these new ones; last week's were just purely shippy. I don't care what you think about the pairing, there's no way that can be interpreted as anything less than two people who really care about each other, and that can easily constitute a more traditionally shippy (that is, romantic) outcome. And then they go and throw away what was set up with a stupid episode that accomplishes nothing! I don't undestand it. >_>

Eh, I'm still not used to D/P's art overall. Sometimes it can be really pretty, but I'm not such a fan of the style. A little off-modelness won't bother me *too* much, probably, at least not as much as it once did. but I agree that it's still extremely irritating.

And nope, I'm never embarrased to be a Rocketshipper. Let people think what they want, the ship is awesome and the fanbase is miles beyond what it once was. If idiots are still clinging to the idea that all Rocketshippers are bat**** insane, delusional, militant jerks, than let them. They're the ones out of touch with reality, not me, so I don't worry about it.

WOW, Jessie Rocketka, those pictures are *great*. I have no idea what's being said (or whats under the maturity filter D: ), but the art is awesome. Very cool!

Hyuk hyuk, Rocketshippy ranting and all that jazz.
