Just wondering...I have a 21- year old daughter.

Well I am not 21 - gosh I wish -- but my daughter is and here is what she has asked for

Eragon books
Twilight books
CM clothing (mousetrap.com)
Cookware and stuff for her kitchen
Itunes gc
Bath and Body stuff
Grey's Anatomy season DVD
Blackhawks hat

Some tshirts from groups I don't know.

That's about it.

Liz

An Ipod touch
A new camera (I'm looking at one of the Nikon D cameras)
A couple of videos games for my PS2 and DS (I probably am going to get the Disney trivia game for the PS2)

A new camera (I'm looking at one of the Nikon D cameras)

[Off topic, but I'm also looking to get my first DSLR... I have been spending way too much time reading online reviews, trying to decide between the Nikon and the Sony at the moment.]

Definitely be careful with the Twilight books. A lot of people I know want nothing to do with them. That's a gift I would ask about! (I know I am totally uninterested in that series!)

I usually ask for cheap jewelry and a few clothes, perfume (if you know what she wears, I tell my mom), letter shirts for my sorority, makeup kits (from places like Sephora, Ulta).

I've gotten sporting event tickets several times for holidays, concert and musical tickets too. But again, that is something you may want to try and fish out of her (for stuff she is interested in).

I'll try and think of more. It's harder to think of things to ask for as I've gotten older, at least I've found. A lot of the things I get anymore are things I have specifically asked for.

The best way to get information is to take advantage of opportunities of the conversations coming up. What I mean is, if she sees something and she seems interested, ask as much as you can about it, without being too obvious! I actually went to Super Soap Weekend for my mom who couldn't go, as a total surprise, for her Christmas present (make a big scrapbook). I asked her a question about it, and even got her to say who she wanted to meet! It made my job SO much easier!

Good luck!

I'm going to DisneyWorld in January, THATS MY PRESENT :cool1:.

Okl but really, my mom said small Christmas this year since we're going to Disney for a week in January, SO EXCITED. This trip was totally decided on in early November, yay for Disney deals!

But my list is very small this year (obviously)
-WiiFit (can't get it anywhere atm unless you want to buy it for like $129 on Amazon.com....NOOOO)
-Money
-Clothes (I like clothes)

I think thats all I asked for. Actually I only asked for the WiiFit. I don't need anything to be honest. Except money but who doesn't :rotfl:.

My Christmas present was my trip to Disney last week. To be honest, everyday is like Christmas to me (I have a spending problem :rolleyes1 ) so I really don't request presents from my parents/Santa. From my aunt/uncle and grandma, I just like cold hard cash.

But for people who do receive presents, DVDs are always a good choice. Gift cards (for itunes, clothing stores, electronic store, or even just a generic visa gift card) or even just cash. MP3 player, digital camera, any other techie stuff. Or how about tickets for a concert/sporting event?

My 20-something DDs want gift cards. Preferably to WalMart so they can use them at Sam's for food or WM for clothes/necessities. I also gave them calendars and a pretty thing for them to hang in their apartment from Uppercase Living.

[Off topic, but I'm also looking to get my first DSLR... I have been spending way too much time reading online reviews, trying to decide between the Nikon and the Sony at the moment.]

I have a Nikon D80 and it's the best thing in the world. My first DSLR was a D50, and it's basically the same thing only the 80 has more megapixels and features. I had a Rebel XTi for a while but I returned it. It was very hard to get the desired effect I wanted with pictures and it had an overall cheap feel, so I definately recommend a Nikon to you both! Never had a Sony and personally I hven't heard much about them (and my minor is photography!). If you're down for the Spring semester you're welcome to take mine for a test run. ;)

I have books that I want, some dvds, video games, and then a cd/mp3 changer for my car. Which won't happen now since I can't get my dad to believe me about people putting it in their trunk. Ah well.
Oh and a few clothes that I want. Mostly because I am obsessed with Invader Zim haha

I asked for DVDs, an Xbox 360, and a couple of pairs of shoes from my parents. From my extended family I asked for giftcards for Walmart, Best Buy, and Target!

An Artic White Epiphone Les Paul

I want it SO bad. That and some CD's would make it a great christmas. That and family and all the stuff.

As much as I wish my University tuition would be payed (BEST GIFT EVER), I am settling for gift cards for groceries, new prescriptions glasses, some stylish winter wear since I've been living in Florida for a while and upon coming home I had NOTHING to survive the winter... haha! And a nice speaker system for my Ipod so I can blast the tunes in my dorm and dance around... at appropriate hours of course!

I am almost 21 (less than a month away).

I figure if I am getting free stuff, it might as well be the things I have been needing but unable to afford. I asked my family for a coffee maker and a microwave. I also really need a new cell phone as the one I have now is scotch taped together, lol.

Gas and grocery giftcards are great gift ideas too.

I would really like a dresser as well, but I think I will hold off until my birthday or graduation to ask for that, lol.

I want a digital camera, but it's a luxury item.

I would suggest getting the twilight series especially if they like the whole fairytale scene! I am a 18 year old male college student and i love those books!! I just wish Disney would have gotten the movie deal!! haha
