Not that I am planning on watching much TV but once little one is in bed I might want to flick through a bit of TV before bedtime.......from what I can remember 2 years ago there wasnt much on........or am I mistaken?

You're not mistaken. Still no better, unless you speak French.

Mainly News, Weather, Cartoons and the Disney promotions channel with the very very annoying presenters.

We always take the ipod player and have that on instead of the t.v.

Although to be fair by the time Im back to the room and showered I have about 30 seconds til Im fast asleep...! :)

Lol...we just returned.
I now know every episode of Hannah Montana.

In other words, only Disney channel is in english.

Very disappointing and in a word, rubbish!

We were hoping for streaming Disney films to watch when the kids were in bed but all there is is the BBC World channel which is rubbish!

I'm taking a book this time!

When we stayed at HNY if Feb, I planned to plug my player into the TV as I knew the available channels were not very interesting, to say the least.

But whilst I was able to get to the sockets on the TV to plug it in , the TV buttons and the remote control wouldn't let me switch to that input,
so we were stuck with DLRP's Top 10, BBC World News and the Disney Channel (although it would be better named the "Suite Life Channel").

There were more options if you speak French or German.

I whiled away the time by comparing the Top Tens in their various languages (and secretly rating the lovely presenters).
They all have exactly the same setup and "off the cuff" moments regardless of the lady presenting. That helped to kill 10 mins. :)

After our 5 days at HNY last month, my daughter was almost word perfect on the top ten things to know before you go "HI, I'm Sophie" etc and she also had her own favourites (Likes the Spanish/Italian presenter but not the Dutch lady :confused3 ) Some bits are so awful they are classic ..."Disney Village, dancing ..yeah baby...restaurants yum yum". Ohmigosh I'm having a flashback just typing those words.

I have to agree, the TV is rubbish. This time Im planning on loading up my iPhone with a few movies and some podcasts :)

Ohh yeh 'the top 10 things to know before you go', reminds me so much of Disney.lol.

Proberly because it's on endlessly!.lol

The Disney Channel is great. Love to watch Zack and Cody, Hannah Montana and there is always a Disney Film to watch. Wouldn't want to watch much else. Have trouble getting Hubby off Eurosport sometimes.

...So the Disney Channel is in English then? I don't remember having the Disney channel from our last visit....but then it was a mad trip !!!:goodvibes :goodvibes

Yes, I remember about the Disney Channel, it was in English. I don't remember anything about the other channels, but for sure nothing was in Italian!

I did find something in Italian - but it was a high number channel - like 18 or something, just before the Arabic channels. It didn't look too good, TBH, some cheesy game show. :rotfl:

I'd rather prefer Disney channel in Italian, just for my son, because actually I do not watch the tv, except for BBC Prime and some documentary on Discovery and History channel. :)
