We just got back from visiting friends and cannot believe how sick and demented some people can be.

Our friends noticed a cardboard box near the entrance of their driveway a week and a half ago, but were in the process of moving and didn't get around to checking it out until yesterday. The box was wrapped tightly in duct tape. Finally deciding to check it out they discovered a kitten that had been sealed in the box and abandoned. Without food or water for over a week, the kitten was thin and week, but still alive. It had managed to chew some holes big enough to get some air, but probably didn't have enough energy to chew its way out. They gave it food and water and it looks like it will be okay.

The person who did this should be dragged out and hung. The kitten had a collar with a bell, so it had to be somebody's pet. If you don't want a pet anymore, take it to a shelter.

That is so sad . I work at a Vet clinic that is 24 hours and you wouldnt believe how some people leave thier pets for us . We have found them taped up in boxs just like that It is MEAN

Gives me chills.

I can't believe there are people out there so heartless.

A kitten is a baby...can you imagine how scared the poor thing was?

That's only slightly worse than people who drop their unwanted pets off in the country somewhere, or at a park or something. :furious:

What is WRONG with people? :confused3

You know I sit here and watch my two cockatiels lovingly taking care of their three newborns together and read this and it makes me think - which one is the more evolved species? :sad2:
