What's happening in February?

I'm looking at prices to try to boom a February/March trip and wow! No values, very little at the moderates. Only concierge rooms at the deluxe resorts seem to be readily available at the bargain price of $1000 a night. What goes on the last week of February at the world? I know it's getting late but I always book last minute trips. Sometimes only a month ahead so this is early for me. I've never had trouble finding a room in a certain category. Does Disney hold rooms back in anticipation of a discount? Is there liely to be a discount at that time. At that price I'm going to have to start looking off-site.

Marathon, Conventions, early Spring Breaks, the back end of the President's Weekend holiday (holiday is 17th so many may still be there that following F/S 21st/22nd)....
