Hey I AM ONE OF THE OTHER FORUMS!!! And I haven't seen anyone other than Frank and Denise over there in months, well Rob stopped by once in a while.... I am going to close that place down soon, it is up for renewal, and I can't afford to keep it going if no one uses it, it's just not worth it.

Chat used to be a blast, and now NO ONE goes there either.


As far as me not being around, I has some personal things going on right now, and I am spending a lot of time at the hospital with my Aunt

I was thinking more like Intercot or Passporter. Sorry, John. I logged in a few times around 8 or so and nobody was there. I can't stay up late anymore and some of the discussions were lasting pretty late.

I guess the fact that I'm just now discovering this thread is evidence that (at least some of) the regulars are less regular. Course, I haven't spent much time in the Community Board in a year or more... since it was taken over by the 'stolen piggy' threads and such. Not that I'm slamming the piggy threads, I'm glad y'all enjoy them, it just never had any appeal for me. Just like the games and gifts on Facebook, I don't 'get' it so I don't participate. I still read the camping board, at least some of the threads there. But I don't check every hour like I used to and usually a good answer will have already been posted by time I get there and I don't feel the need to 'ditto'. Also, I have been rather active on another online forum for Santas, and that has lessened my time available for the DIS.

All those things, plus a pretty good funk as I realize that my next Disney trip is probably 1.5+ years away and my reasons for being less regular are pretty well summed up. In other words, at least as far as I'm concerned, please don't take my absence personally. Meeting Deb and Carol last year, and Donnie and TCD this year were some of the highlights of those trips. I just hope TCD didn't swear-off the DIS boards after finding out what a loser I am, he stopped coming here RIGHT AFTER!

I have come and gone from this board several times as well as some others that go through some very active and very lull times. I think what made me come back to this one was TCD and his undercover reports on the pool renovations. That was very cool. River Country was his latest and got tons of attention. Photos attract lots of folks in my opinion. Add to that some secretive or hidden part of WDW and you got something magical that people (like me) look forward to coming back to see again and again.

Intercot doesn't compare. Talk about restrictive. OMG..the place is awful.

Shan - I for one am very happy when you contribute to the board...repetitive responses or not. I fully understand how your attentions can be pulled away elsewhere when the next trip is in the distant future, but the boards are more interesting when folks like you chime in now and then.

How else would I know how many steps it is from Site 533 to the Comfort Station??

Sorry Cheryl, I have been taking the one twin (aunt Irene) to see the other twin (aunt Irma) at the hospital in the "big city" (Pittsburgh) so I have been really busy. Irma had a heart cath today, they found one that was 70% blocked, but not in a bad place, and a couple others that were "not bad". So they cleared her for the surgery to remove the tumor on her spine either tomorrow or Wednesday.

So if all you "ir"regulars would toss up a good word or two to the big guy, I sure would appreciate it!!

I won't be around for at least a couple days, and I tried using my kids DSI at the hospital, and it wouldn't let me on facebook or the dis, something about social networking not allowed on company intranet, so I think I may have been on the wrong one
