Based on a lot of reviews, some people think "Nothing's good at Sci-Fi". But I really want to go for the atmosphere. After 17 trips to WDW, I gotta try it. And I'm old enough to remember drive-ins. So what would you recommend? Just stick with dessert? How're their salads? Soup?

The only reason I'd go to Sci-Fi is for dessert or a shake. My DW and I have gone several times and each time the food was mediocre at best. However, it's hard to goof up a dessert, so we sometimes go there for a treat in the afternoon. It's a nice break from the park, fun atmosphere and a great way to rest your feet!

I have read good reviews of the ribs so we are going to give those a try.

Always go for the burgers at lunch. And the shakes are to die for. Haven't heard to many good things about dinner there so we always stick to lunch. It is a cool place to eat at.

Stick with the burgers and shakes and you can't go wrong!

Sci Fi is a must-do for us every trip. We go for the atmosphere, but we always stick to lunch because they don't have the burgers at dinner.

They've let us order the burgers for dinner - we just had to ask. We always have to go to Sci Fi! The atmosphere is a GREAT escape from the busy park.

I know it's crazy but I go for the onion rings and a chocolate shake!

My son loves the firecracker parfait and the glow in the dark frisbee's I think we have 8 or 9 of them around here now!

Burgers, rings, shakes and ribs!!! Not all at the same meal, tho, lol!!

Try the burgers, steak sandwich, chili(yum!), sci-fi salad. I've eaten there twice and the food was excellent both times.

My husband and I split a Rueben and onions rings and both were great.

DH and I shared the steak sandwich and it was REALLY good.

This was the only meal that my DDs clean their plate! Every last crumb!! Don't know why, maybe they were extra hungry. They had the corn dogs.

After being not so impressed the last few times we have eaten at Sci-Fi I tried the Flat Iron Steak Sandwich- A Grilled 8 oz. steak on Ciabatta bread with a portobello mushroom, mixed greens, red and green bell peppers, onions, tossed in blue cheese vinaigrette, served with onion rings, after removing the bell peppers I enjoyed a meal there for the first time.

I went for dinner and had the pork tenderlons and they were soooo good. My husband had the steak which was also good.

My poor DH. I ordered a turkey (which was OK) but he ordered the Burger. I ate his! It was really one of the best burgers I've ever had the the onion rings are out of this world!

The atmosphere is a perfect downtime for two young children. I thought I would be worried about some of the old sci-fi movies scaring them but they didn't bat an eye. They sat quietly, ate and watched the reels.

Enjoy!

This is exactly what we always get! I get the pork tenderloins with mashed potatoes, and DH gets the steak. Very good! Actually one of the best meals of our whole trip.

lol @ thinking they would scare them

I was worried about the same thing but mine just laughed and pointed at the screen even when he was little little! lol

I love the commercials for the "modern" kitchen they are a hoot!

Also I think it being dark in there has something to do with my son being still and relaxing
