The last time I went, my mother did not have the skillet. I just looked at the menu and I believe she had the Bandana Bandit's Sustainable Fish. Unfortunately, I don't remember which fish they served. I remember she enjoyed it.

it's a salmon blt salad now. It was on my short list of things to try but I can't find a thing about it anywhere, maybe it is kind of new (and most people prefer the skillet). I had bariatric surgery so the skillet is a big waste for me and the kids menu doesn't appeal. sounds like the bandana bandit likes his fish though I was also considering the pork chop. I can probably share either with my mom, she is not a big eater either.
my 9 year old son however will make them regret the child's price on the skillet it's too bad I can't just eat a few bites of whatever he doesn't like!
My family ate there in February, and non of us go the skillet. I got the pork chop, loved it and the grits with it were very good. DD got the meatloaf and I tried hers. Really good, but it's a huge piece. And DS and DH got the ribs, they were good.

I was thinking about the pork chop actually. It sounds huge too but at least if I can wrap it up and take it back to the room (we are staying at copper creek) I will feel less bad about the waste. None of the appetizers really appeal and paying $34 for the skillet when I can't eat much doesn't appeal either so I was going to get an entree and pack it up to go. Ribs might be a good thing to share with the kiddo too but I figured he would prefer the skillet (he also likes pulled pork and brisket and if the sauce bugs him there will be other options). It's also a great deal for a 9.5 year old boy with hollow legs!
sounds like pretty much everything else on the menu is good as well. I'm not sure I've ever been here or if I have it was two decades ago. Looking forward to trying it!
