Hi,
As of today I should be able to book dinner ADRs up to November 3. But the Fantasmic Dinner Pkg is only showing dates up to October 31.
Is there talk of them discontinuing this??
Thanks for any info. I was hoping to book this come Monday morning.

No info, but is the WDW November calendar, with show times not out yet? Jus thinking maybe if the F! schedule isn't set, they can't yet sell dinner packages?

You're correct Mikie, no show times out for Fantasmic as of November 1st.
Grrrr, wonder what that means :guilty:

It really doesn't mean anything. The parades and shows don't always show up at the same time the calendar is released. I think you are worrying for no reason. It will show up eventually, I think.

If you're planning on H&V save the money and grab a fast pass. Other than being able to get in early, there was no reason to book it. The food was awful (I ended up eating the corn dog nuggets and Mac and cheese. The rest was either over cooked or cold. The characters you can see elsewhere.

Is there any word yet on when H/V becomes the Holiday Dine?

Yup.

The CMs open the theater an hour or more before show-time.
Guests at that time will simply walk slowly through the very long pathways to the theater and file in to find a seat.

What a FP+ for F! offers is more CHOICE in seating.

If you DO get a F! FP+, you can choose to sit in either the FP section (virtually the entire left half of the theater) or the Standby section (virtually the entire right half of the theater.)

So, whatever section has the better seating at the time you arrive, you can go there.
Without a FP, you can only choose a seat in the Standby section.

There is a very good chance that you can get a FP+ for F! as a 4th or 5th FP of the day because they issue SO MANY of them (enough to cover nearly the entire left half of the seating.) On many nights, it is possible that you can gat a FP+ for F! as you are walking to the theater.

As to when to arrive at the theater, I'd get to there 45-60 minutes before the show-time.
Even with a FP or Dining Pkg. reservation, don't wait too late.

On busy nights, the CMs can stop holding the reserved sections within 20-30 minutes before show-time, and turn over any available seats to waiting walk-in guests.
There is sometimes a "pre-show" (such as it is) that can help pass the last 30 minutes before show time.

Map Below-
Arrows indicate the center of the seating.

Shaded areas:
(First or Only F! performance of the evening)

Cyan= Standby (walk-in) seating
Red= Dining Package Reserved
Blue= FP+ Reserved
Purple= Can be either FP+ or Dining Plan Reserved, depending on needs.

(Second or Third F! performance of the evening)
Cyan= Standby (walk-in) seating
Red, Purple, Blue= FP+ Reserved
(Although much of the outer Blue will likely be used for Standby.)

Thanks Mambo,
Actually I was looking at the menu for H&V and since I will be with my family which includes 3 fairly young boys I decided H&V may not be for us. I think we will eat at Mama Melrose.
I've seen F! before but my grandsons have not so I was thinking the dining pkg may be the way to go. I guess I'll just have to keep checking back on the times so I will be able to make a ressie for the dining pkg.

ETA: Actually, now that I think of it, I think I was looking at the menu for the Brown Derby. A little steep for 3 boys who would be happy with a hot dog or piece of pizza.

Thanks

I have never been to F, what are the character labels per section for? Also which section best if you want to be out first?

Although some people don't like Mama Melrose too much, we love it. It is hugely popular so sometimes there's a wait so don't book too late of the kids will be starving lol.

1. what are the character labels per section for? 2. Also which section best if you want to be out first?

1. They are just names, so you'll remember where you were seated if you get up to go to the restroom or to buy a snack.
2. Witch, Ursula, Sebastian, or Scar.

DH, DD4, and myself loved Mama Melrose F! Package and Fantasmic! We were there the most recommemded day this week, not too busy, and arrived about 35 minutes before the show began. We got seats one row from the front, right in the center, and it was perfect!

Just to provide some feedback :)

Thanks Paigevon, I guess I'll have to keep checking to see when they add F! to the November schedule so I can then go ahead and book the dinner pkg. Wish they would add it soon as I'm going to be on the computer at 6a.m. Monday to do my ADRs.
