What's going on at DCA today? 10/12

I was watching too and it terrified me because we may come this weekend next year. We’d do parks the Thursday, Friday and Saturday before the holiday and then leave Sunday.
So I guess Saturday may be the worst day for us as far as crowds.
Maybe we just do early entry and then plan a pool day or come back at night with some LL.

I'm here right now and while yesterday was pretty busy, today was much slower. Using LL we got on many heavy hitters at both parks and had plenty of time for breaks, table service, etc. It wasn't like the nightmare that is WDW during spring break or Easter or anything.

We come every year this weekend, and while it is super, super crowded in the streets, sidewalks, and everywhere else, you can have an excellent trip! We used EE both of our full days, and took full advantage of LLs. If you know how to modify them, it allows you to get in all of the big rides as long as you can dodge ride breakdowns. Trying to find a table out in the Sanfransokyo area was a challenge at dinner time, and Mobile Order times were often very far out (over an hour away), especially for popular things like Jolly Holiday due to all of their special offerings. Even Cucina Cucamonga was 30-45 minutes or more for dinner, and then once we hit “I’m here prepare my order”, it was another full 25 minutes to prepare 2 orders of tacos and one soft drink. So you really have to plan ahead to make it work, but it can work!

We were here for OBB also, and I can say that last year and this year, I feel the crowds for the party were great!!

I was there yesterday and it was one of the worst days crowd-wise I can remember in a long time in both parks. Once someone reminded me about Columbus Day and how every state except California has Monday off, it made more sense.

But we get Cesar Chavez day at the end of March.

Reading all this makes me glad that we ended up with other plans on Saturday so we had cancelled our park reservations for the day!

We cancelled our reservations for Sunday as well.
