What's going on around here?

Add me to the lost and confused club too. I have been here for nearly 3 years and have seen this before. I am just as confused now as any other time it has happened. Some I have agreed with , but am so distressed over this one. I hope things on this board get straightened out. It has gotten to the point you don't know if you should post or not anymore. I have gotten to where I lurk more post less. I think its safer that way. JMO

Think I may stop posting as I don't really know what I can and can't say anymore except maybe the change one letter round etc. This air of secrecy (sp?) isn't helping matters and I feel that alot of people are so confused that they may decide move to a different board completely.

It's pretty obvious by my "post count" that I haven't been around for very long, and not on this board much at all! I am glad that our next Disney trip will be a few years away (have to let the baby granddaughter grow up enough to have memories); I did the one this year by myself, but it was a lot of hard work and I had really planned to get in touch with DU for the next one.

Edited to say that after I read the above, it sounded as lost and confused as possible, so please add me to "the club".

I am no expert and am not particularly close to anyone on these boards but it is pretty evident that the people who 'control' these boards are feeling threatened about something. It is 'their' board and they can do what they wish but to react as they have been lately is quite paranoid and insecure....that is, if they continue to give no reason.

I like visiting these boards and conversing about issues and topics, like others do. For the price I am starting to feel is being asked of us; I am beginning to wonder if it is worth it? The control fed by paranoia is starting to become suffocating and is not something I find particularly inviting.

If this was my board, I probably would spin the issues to be in my favor. The majority of people have no idea but to follow the lead of moderators & webmasters and what they have to say. The truth can only be uncovered with input from all sides. To suppress that input and to suppress the input of others who have knowledge to the situation(s) at hand is obviously an attempt to sway everyone else. It is very disappointing this board has come to this because it has been such a valuable outlet for many of us on multiple levels.

Good luck to everyone who decides to stay behind but for me, to stay with this board would be to deny the ultimate truth. The 'spin doctors' need to do what they need to do to keep their autocratic society....it is not for me!

Um, Hi? I really don't know what's going around here but there are some people here who just like to come for fun. If people are so emotional about things that there needs to be name calling, maybe they do need a break. There are new people coming on for valid reasons.

As for lawsuits etc., its none of my business. It's a shame that it had to come to that, for whatever reason, but these boards are just a bunch of words and faceless names. I go about my daily life and you all disappear.

Every list I have ever been on comes down to this at some point. Things happen, arguements happen. I don't belong to the "Dis Clique' and I dont' want to. I don't like the way people snap and whine at others.

Sometimes you just have to be quiet and move on, not every post demands your opinion.
