We had baked sweet potatoes (so happy they're in season right now, they're a big favourite of ours ) with some roasted seasoned veg (peppers, aubergine, mushrooms and red onion) and halloumi cheese. I used some Morrocan rub I got ages ago from Asda and want to use it for more recipes now, yum!!
I made a chicken ristotto with lemon and tarragon. It was a baked one, a new recipe to me and it was really nice, we had some baguette left over from lunch which we had with it. I had rocket on top of my risotto but the girls didn't.
Loving the beetroot ideas.
I wish my kids would eat Bacon and Eggs as I love it as a quick tea.....but they both dislike bacon and only one egg eater..... I will never get over how they eats olives, capers and other really strong flavours till the cows comw home but don't like simple stuff like B&E's.......
I am doing Core Plan on Weight Watchers at the moment so tonight my friend and I (who is also doing it) are having, a grill up of Bacon, poached eggs, beans, tomatoes and melon with a muller light on top for pudding!
Joanne, your risotto sounds lovely!
Lizzy Bear - We also love sweet pots, our DD3 will not eat normal potatoes so I do her SPs and don't mention the "P" word at all otherwise she would refuse it!
I have been out all day shopping and childrens party (close-up magician was fab, if you know what I mean ) so I have prepared no dinner - so it's fish finger night!
Dd7 was at gym club today so a quick meal of chicken fingers, garlic bread+rosemary, thyme+parsley wedges.
Dessert was apple pie(my own) and ice-cream.x.
