Hi, We just got back from WDW in November and we are already ready to go back! :Pinkbounc

However, it will be Januarary or February of 2006 before we can get back. I have always been to Disney in November or December...what is Januarary or February like? Is it crowded or cold?

It's never too early to start planning and I am ready to begin. Thanks in advance for your replies. :Pinkbounc

We're going in Feb., I can let you know how it is after we get back! LOL :teeth:

I just had to tell you that picture in your sig. is incredible!! How cute!!!! :D:D

I've gone in early-mid February. It was in the upper 60's everyday and reached into the low 70's once. There were no crowds (gotta be gone before President's Day or else you'll see some decent size crowds). January can get jacket and gloves chilly at WDW.

As for crowds, January right through early February is really great for low crowds. With the exception of MLK weekend.

When I went 2 years ago, the low was about 5 degress, and because of that most left Illuminations early, Disney sold TERRIBLY overpriced gloves($15), and they put heaters all around the Animal Kingdom. Though I still went on Kali and Splash Mountain.

January and Early Feb are good times to go. Weather is iffy and can be anywhere from high 70's to low 50's during the day and 60's to high 30's at night. Right now it is high 70's in FL.....

Crowds are low in January except for the MLK weekend that was already mentioned. Early February is not crowded until a few days before President's weekend and then from then until Easter, it is fairly busy with it being the busiest President's Weekend.

Be aware that Jan/Feb/Mar are the Cheerleading Championships and some of the value and moderates can be noisy. The parks seem to be unaffected by them unless you are in line with them.....check www.Varsity.com for upcoming competitions in Orlando.

I love January and February but we've never hit a cold spell like mentioned above. Our weather has always been in the low to mid 70s for a high and a low in the 50s.

We go mainly because we don't have to fight for PS planning and the crowds are non existant.

I think I would always risk colder weather to avoid the crowds.

Thank you all sooo much. You have gave me exactly what I need to start my planning.

We went down last year in early February and the crowds were great but then President's Day weekend hit and the masses moved in. Does anyone know if the crowds subside after President's Day weekend or do they stay that big all week. We're looking at possibly going down from Feb. 22 - 28 but I'm wondering about the crowds. We're also looking at Mar, 1 - 8 but the park hours are much shorter then.

Have gone the last 3 yrs in january, before MLK weekend usually around the 4th of the month. Crowds are non existent. While it's nice to have warm weather, I don't think it's essential for a disney vacation. If you're planning a trip that is in a beach locale, where warm weather is vital to any activities ,that's a different story. But you can go to Disney whether it's hot or cold and I'd rather have it cooler than broiling hot while in the parks.
