Yep, it can be chilly in there. I wore jeans and a short sleeved top and found myself slightly cold at times (but I'm a freeze baby and we were soaken wet from a sudden shower)-- I would've died of frozenness if I'd worn the tank top and shorts I wore to the park that day!
Dress is always casual at WDW except for Victoria & Alberts. However, HDDR is a special place for us so I usually wear a casual skirt or sundress and DH & DS wear khaki shorts and a nice shirt. They offer to take pictures of your group before the show now so maybe that may influence what you wear. It's pretty much anything goes. Have fun..HDD is our favorite!
I agree with the coldness. At least it was for us a couple of years ago. People were wrapping their kids in tablecloths! We brought jackets. I guess the performers get very warm.
The dress is casual. We didn't notice the cold but others seemed to be.
We wore jeans and matching Disney Tee Shirts. I have the picture of us in the office over my computer. The setting with the split rail fence and checker tablecloth is so cute.
