What's Continental like?

I was just wondering if anyone could tell me if Continental is a decent airline? My friend and I found a great fare with them to Nashville in June (since Southwest hasn't released their dingdangity fares past May 10th), with a connecting flight, and neither of us have ever flown them. I had a friend fly them to LAX a few years back and she liked them, but I wanted others opinions. I'll be flying out of DTW if that matters.

Continental is one of the major legacy carriers. Their service is generally very good. They have won the JD Powers aware for excellence in Customer Service a couple of times. Unlike Southwest, you can get seat assignments, and you'll be boarded by row, instead of experiencing the cattle call.

I love this airline! I have a lot of anxiety when flying, but Continental plays movies and has headphones with music. This really helped me. They also gave us a small meal on a 2 hour flight. I'd like to fly with them again, but they are expensive out of Pittsburgh.

Their major hub is Newark, NJ -- so I fly with them all the time. I really enjoy them...They have a 225 R/T for my trip in May but I'm waiting for southwest to see if it's cheaper.
