I havent been to Disneyland in 10yrs! when we went they were just building the adventure park. so what else has changed? is honey i shrunk the aduience still there? do you think we will be able to see/do almost everything in 3 days? we plan on getting the southern Cali. city pass. we are driving from kansas to cali. so we will have our own car to come and go and be able to go to sea world and all that. i forgot how big disneyland is. so any info would be great!

Honey is now Captain EO. (Old show with Micheal Jackson.)

I'm sure you'll be able to do somewhat almost everything in 3 days, depending on if you have everything planned out.

I would say spend 1 day in each park, and spend the 3rd day going back and forth doing the best rides before you leave. :)

I only started going a little over five years ago, so I can tell you some of what I think is new since then.

Country Bears were already gone when we started going and had become the Winnie the Pooh ride. Buzz Lightyear is in Tomorrowland. The old subs ride has been brought back and made into a Finding Nemo ride. The castle walkthrough had been closed since 2001 or so and has since been reinvented and reopened. Abe Lincoln will be different since it closed for many years and reopened recently with a new animatronic. Captain Eo has returned, displacing Honey I Shrunk the Audience. And, of course, all of DCA.

Three days is good for experiencing most of what the parks have to offer, but you won't see it all. I would parkhop everyday rather than planning one park per day. The entrance gates are right across from each other. With three day tickets, you will also be able to take advantage of early entry to Disneyland one morning.

I agree about the three days and park hopping. Three is really the minimum.

To the list I would add:

o Space Mountain completely redone and much better than before
o POTC changed to include Jack Sparrow and general improvements made to lighting and sound effects
o HM improved and story changed a bit
o Tom Sawyer Island is now Pirates Lair on TSI
o Improvements to Jungle Cruise
o Improvements and changes to the Rivers of America and Mark Twain cruise
o New Jedi Training Academy
o New Princess Fantasy Faire
o Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse is now Tarzan's Treehouse
o Fantasmic show has been improved

It's a Small World has been updated to add Disney characters.
Autopia had changed.
Buzz Lightyear has been added.

And if you go during the Halloween or Xmas season we have a whole new list of things.... :rotfl:

Well, during October, Space Mountain becomes Ghost Galaxy or something like that, so your being chased by skulls and stuff.

HM is now changed to A Nightmare Before Christmas for the rest of the year (oct-dec I think?)

It's mid-September through early January for HMH this time around.

I don't know if mommy2_3 is going during HalloweenTime or Christmastime, but as 3Minnies1Mickey said, there could be all new lists of things that are 'new' (even beyond just the rides) to look out for.

In November & December through mid-January, there is also It's a Small World Holiday (which was around 10 years ago, but not sure if you saw it back then), and the Storybook Land ride gets teeny tiny Christmas decorations on the tiny houses and villages.

There's the Halloween Round-Up in October, the Day of the Dead display, the Ray Bradbury Halloween Tree, Mickey's Halloween Party, and at Christmastime, there is the Reindeer Round-Up and the gorgeous nighttime Winter Castle.

With the ages of your kids, and depending on what time of year you go, you probably won't be able to see everything in 3 days. I don't know how old your son is, but if you're going to go on any of the bigger rides, you'll have to plan extra time for child swaps if everyone tall enough wants to ride.

And taking into account that very young children get tired more quickly and can't commando (open to close) the parks, you would be best off deciding your highest priority rides and shows and working your way down--making a list of what is important to see and do vs. what you wouldn't mind skipping.
