Whats changed in last 2 years?

I am so against Genie+. It's basically a paid Fast Pass.... typical Disney. Anyway, we are going for 2 days and unfortunately will buy Genie+. We will be spending too much money to stand around (coming from S Florida). So I get it but it's the old, don't bite your nose to spite your face..... lol

I don't disagree with your buying G+ for your trip. And Disney is banking on you doing exactly that, deciding that even though it is more money, you need to spend it to make the other money you are spending more worthwhile. That is their (and every other company's) business model. They will push things as far as they think they can without losing money due to a bad guest experience or pricing folks out. So far, it looks like guests are willing to tolerate the currently offered experience and the prices, with parks and hotels seemingly crazy busy for October and the holidays already.
