When I went Sunday it was closed, I asked an employee where they changing the skins he said "No, They are adding something to the ride." I asked what, he said "When you come back you'll know." Their statements are never reliable so, does anyone know of changes being done at JPRA?

I read on screamscape.com that the triceratops from the Triceratops Encounter were rumored to be added to JPRA.

Hmm, so are they keeping the other Trikes at Encounter? Or changing that attraction?

I think you'd miss a lot of great effect if they just had the Triceratops on the ride.

Maybe they'll place it around the queue. That way, alot more people will get to see the darn thing, the JP:RA queue will become more enjoayble, and they can build something really cool on the large peice of land Tric Encounter is currently taking up.

Hi,
Did the sign or the employee say when it would reopen? It was closed when we were there 2 years ago, so we were hoping to ride it in March when we went.
Chris

Agree. Place it in the queue of JPRA and use the land for a thrill ride.

He made it sound like it would be closed a short time, because he kept saying "anytime now" when I said when will it be back open.

So it might be open now, I'll be there before Sunday so I'll let you know if it's open and what's new or been added.

It will probably be like all the rafts got the new lapbars, or they got new skins but he said "Something is being added" well I guess skins are "Something" Labars are "Something"

Well before Sunday I'll let you know.

JPRA was open today, there was a line, I didn't see any Trikes, I noticed new Skins, and Triceratops Encounter is GONE!!! The logo was take off the Entrance. They had a sign that said the "Scientists have finished their study." So it looks like Barry's rumor about them being added to JPRA might happen.

It'll be good if they can add the a Trike somehow to JP. And The Triceratops attraction sucked overall. Hopefully something GOOD replaces it.

I remember waiting in line for the Triceratops Encounter during the IOA previews in 1999. I waited 30 minutes just to see a two minute presentation with the trike. That was the longest wait during the previews!

The old Triceratops Encounter area is pretty huge. The queue itself seemed to go on and on. It seemed unnecessarily big for the crowds it attracted. So what can we put there? A big wooden or flying coaster? The rumored jeep ride? The Dark Maruder's bachelor pad? :)

Trike is a seasonal attraction, just like Storm Force, only open during busy times of the year. If they kept the signs up they would have people exploring around at their own free will, New lapbars were added to River Adventure, as for anything new for the ride itself is ....nothing.

JP Helicoptours was a rumored attraction that was supposed to be like Soarin' Over California at DCA. You flew over JP Island to look at the dinosaurs. It probably would have involved a dinosaur attack.

I don't buy it. They do not remove the Storm Force sign when it is closed.

Well, storm force is more of a open area then trike, also the name was called Triceratops Encounter when IOA first opened, they renamed it to Triceratops Discovery Trail last year, when they changed the name, IOA put boards with the name over the Triceratops Encoutner part, when it is down for the season they take the boards down and just put boards up with no writting on it. The sign is still there, guest can still see the skeleton of the Trike signage out front still, its just the name is covered up.
