what's accomodations are needed for a family with 3 boys?

I know this has been asked a million times but the search button is disabled and I can't find my answer.

My friend would like to try the DVC resorts and has shown an interest in renting points but they have 3 boys ages 6 and 7.

My questions is...would they automatically have to get a 2 BR unit or can they all fit into a studio or 1 BR?

The rules state that a 1 bedroom or studio hold four people plus a child under the age of 3 in a pack and play. Based on that you would need a two bedroom. There are people that have been told by MS or their guide that they can put 5 in a one bedroom. Personally with three boys I would get the two bedroom and enjoy the extra space.

They should get a 2 bedroom with 5 people that is about as small a unit they can get. There are some cabins over at the Fort Wilderness that they can look into that would be great for the 5 of them.

A family of five with 3 kids, especially boys would be great at the Ft. Wilderness cabins. The parents can sleep on the murphy bed in the family room area, we did for 7 nights. It was OK enough.

The three boys can take the bedroom. There is a double bed and bunkbeds in there. There is only one bathroom, but remember these are boys, not girls. There is plenty of room to run around outside, no hallways to disturb the neighbors in a DVC resort.

Look at the WDWIG website for a great FAQ on all the fun stuff to do at Ft. Wilderness. If River Country was still open, it might be my favorite resort. Do the Hoop-Dee-Do and campfire program.
