I'm thinking we'll pay for CRT lunch OOP and will therefore have an extra credit I'd like to plan for. Last year we did the Lilo/Stitch breakfast on our last day and although the location and characters were great, I didn't eat any of the food other than the potatoes because I'm not a eggs and breakfast meat kind of girl. DD kind of falls into that category as well. I like pastries, fruit, yogurt and that kind of thing in the morning.

Now DH and his parents love breakfast and all the eggs and meats that go along with it. It would be nice to find something that appeals to all of us. But because I don't like breakfasts and am in charge of ADR arrangements we've not done anything but CS at the resorts or the 'ohana one. But change is good. I think.

So lay it on me what options would work for our needs- I'm thinking a buffet would be the best, but a non-buffet with a good variety would be fine too. We are doing CP and Kona for dinners, so those aren't necessarily on the top of our list mostly because we'd like to not go to the same place twice in a week.

Suggestions?

Cape May Cafe- They had cheese blintzes, biscuits/gravy and make your own berry parfaits. I'm not much of a breakfast person either, but I found lots of things to fill my plate.

My DH would tell you Akershus in Norway hands-down. It is not like any other breakfast being served at WDW and is absolutely wonderful. I think he just likes Jasmine, but he swears its the food!

Chef Mickeys would be my choice after Ohana. It has a good variety of things. Yogurt, pastries, and fruit. As well as meats and potatos. We always leave there satisfied and enjoy the meal.

A big vote for Whispering Canyons Lodge at the Wilderness Lodge. You can get a fruit plate and DH and his family can get the all-you-care-to-eat skillet. I hate paying for a buffet if I'm not hungry. You can order a-la-carte at the same table.

Head straight to Chef Mickey's and Everyone will have something they like...actually several somethings!

Fresh is a good one, also Cyrstal Palalce has other foods, smoked salmon cheese and fruit etc.

I'm not an egg-eater either, so I can relate.

Breakfast at Crystal Palace is a must-do for me every trip. Everytime I go I must have some breakfast lasagna and puffed french toast. They also have fruit, muffins and other pastries, and some really good breakfast pizza.

I also like Akershus's breakfast, but not as much as Crystal Palace. They have the most awesome breakfast potatoes though. I tried to make them at home, (I got the recipe off of All Ears,) but they just weren't the same.

Cape May is an awesome breakfast! There is a huge yogurt bar with all the add ins and a ton of fresh fruit, blueberries, raspberries, strawberries, 3 types of melon, grapes, oranges, grapefruit, pineapple.

They have carved ham, blintzes, asparagus, oatmeal with all the add ins, bread pudding...

Many things to choose from and they are all great!

I would choose Boma for some traditional and non-traditional offerings. In the past, it has been cheaper than the character buffets too.

Thanks you guys, I'm really appreciating the feedback! Anyone have feedback for the one at 1900 Park Fare? I think the refurb will be done by the time our trip happens. What about GF Cafe? We usually go to the MK on our last day, which is the day we'd probably do the breakfast, so logistically we'd probably want to stay close to there, but Boma sounds good too. Chef Mickeys is on the radar now, too.

We did 1900 Park Faire and I will never go there again. For starters the place is super loud and the tables are very close together...the food was terrible, not fresh, very dried out and no one was replenishing empty containers, the fruit tasted like it was sitting next to onions in the cooler and the bacon was so salty we could not eat it.

Spoodles is another bad one, the food was horrible, rubbery, greasy and way overcooked.

No question about it, Fresh at the Dolphin.

Hi, we just got back and my son doesn't do breakfast food either. We did the Crystal Palace Character Breakfast buffet and it worked out really well. The traditional eggs, bacon, etc along with fruit, veggies, cereal. Good food, nice atmosphere, and the Winnie The Pooh characters too.

Good to know on 1900PF, thanks. The loudness alone would do it for me.

Any of the character buffets will be rather loud. Excited kids + characters = loud. At both Crystal Palace and Chef Mickey's the tables are relatively close together, as well.
