Whatever happened to speeding up the site?

Weeks ago, Pete was talking about getting a new web hosting company that would speed up the site, which has gotten really slow. What's the status of that switchover? I love this place but do get frustrated when I have to click a link and then go do something else until the page loads.

I haven't noticed any issues of the site being slow over the past two weeks. Here and there, yes, but not like it was when this was first discussed on the show. Maybe I am just hitting the boards at a different time as you. I know that they were working on the server issues and can only ask for your patience as the process is being handled. I am sure you will hear something soon if the issue is to continue. Hang in there.

Thanks, Nikki. I figured they were still working on it. I can assure you that the problem still exists. Right now, 11:50am on Sunday, I'm simultaneously browsing this site and an unrelated forum. On the other site, I click a link and the page pops right up. Here at DIS, I click a link and wait. So I know it isn't my computer or my internet access.

New servers have been ordered and being configured now. As soon as we sign off on them we will start migrating the sites.

No ETA on when we will go live but we will work as fast as we can while still ensuring everything works properly.
