Whatcha get?

We got ours early....
160pts at BLT on Tues the 16th.

Now about that last podcast cruise....

A new Microsoft ergonomic keyboard, some new Sims 2 expansion packs, a few gift cards to Best Buy, Barnes & Noble, and iTunes, some new books, some new clothes, and a few knick knacky kind of things. There wasn't really anything new and exciting that I wanted this year. :)

Nothing for me today :)

We aren't celebrating until tomorrow as my youngest is a Firefighter, has duty today and volunteered to work for a dad with little ones last night (he made me proud with that one). Works out great for all the rest of the kids as they are spending today with their girlfriends, boyfriends and families today. They will attack here tomorrow at noon :rotfl: then Saturday we all go to my mom's for the big family get together.

So today is more cooking and cleaning and tomorrow will be our big day.

So Kevin... what did you get???? You know you want to tell us ;)

Merry Christmas

Today i got a sportspacket for the Wii, (tennisbat, tabletennisbat etc.) but tommorrow we get our big present....

We get the Wii.....
Every year Emiels mother gives us a huge present and this year we told here that we wanted the Wii, so we bought the Wii and Wii Fat (lots of you already know that we bought it:cool1: ) when we where in the US.
But tommorrow we get the money for the Wii so then it's officially a Christmas present.

What did you get Kevin???

Enough Disney giftcards and Disney dollars to purchase an annual pass for 2009!!!!! Merry Christmas all!

Melissa

Dana and I gave each other a Wii and Wii Fat.

Evie got a karaoke machine and a Sharpay doll that she loves.

Maggie got a Gabriella doll and a gift card for Justice (a tween clothing store).

How 'bout you and John?

Hope you had a great time last night.

Initially, Corey and I were not going to buy Christmas for each other this year, being that we spent a ton of money going to see the Mouse. But, given the way things turned out at Disney due to her mom's severely declining health, she needed a pick me up and shopping therapy always seems to do just that for her, so we agreed to go ahead and buy some stuff for each other.

Corey got me everything that I could have wanted and more. This is the first year out of our 10 Christmases together that she really truly did a great job of getting me stuff that I wanted without being told with a "wish list". In her defense, I am extremely difficult to buy for. Mostly, I am "just go practical" but I am picky about what I like. I do like the occasional indulgence, but it's odd stuff. You can never go wrong buying me Disney stuff though.

I got something that I saw months ago in some junk mail magazine. I really wanted one, but I wasn't going to make the effort to order one. It's a caricature box by Martin Perry and it's in the shape of a little Walter E. Disney. He was part of a series of people honored for being the artists, authors, and composers that they were. They are made out of crushed marble, kind of like the Harmony Kingdom pieces are. Anyway, I was super surprised that she remembered it. Because it hasn't arrived yet, I got the picture of the piece wrapped up. I can't wait to be able to open it up to see what little symbol they put inside of the box. I would imagine that it's a hidden Mickey head, but time will tell. :cool1:

I got the cookware set that I had pointed out as something that I would love to have to replace the old stuff that really should be replaced. I pointed it out months ago. She took a picture of the T-Fal set that I wanted and went to Walmart and found it on sale now since a newer set has come out. She did good. She recently asked if I wanted the new Paula Deen set, but I told her that I had not really looked at the set, but that she can never go wrong buying what I want. Improvising when it comes to cookware will always get you into trouble. When I was at Walmart shopping yesterday, I looked at the Paula Deen set. I was not impressed. So, I am really happy that she paid attention. :goodvibes

I also got the Disney Snowglobe Bookends that are huge and were thankfully on sale. We have looked at them for over a year now. We just couldn't handle to pricetag. Santa found a deal though. :woohoo: I got $100 in Disney Dollars for my April trip. :worship: And finally, I got a Nintendo DS. I got one for Corey last year and I found that I really liked it. Since Corey's is usually on the road with her, I have one now to play with here at home. I got the Super Mario Brothers game and an accessory set to go with it. :yay:

And how could I forget, Wall-E!

Corey got the Guitar Hero World Tour Band Set, which means that her lifelong desire to have a drum kit to play with has finally come to pass. With this new game for the PS2, we both can play together because I suck at guitar, but I think that I could do the drums pretty well. I am looking forward to getting into that later today, once the food is closer to done. She didn't tell me that she wanted the band set, I was thinking of us being able to play together more than I was thinking of her wanting the drums. She told me about wanting to play drums after she opened it. So, that worked out as a great gift! She also got a Guitar Hero t-shirt, Guitar Hero beanie hat, and a pair of Guitar Hero DS skins. Can you tell that she likes Guitar Hero? :)

She got three Patricia Cornwell books. She wants all of her stuff in hardback and paperback. I was able to get two books that she has in either hardback or audio form in paperback and one book that she didn't realized had even been published in hardback. She is looking forward to more good reads on the road.

She got a Santa Clause Mr. Potato Head. She wanted another Potato Head. We have one with lots of Disney accessories....too many to wear at once. I realize that it's silly, but we are both very big kids at heart.

She got another new game for the the PS2, Shaun White Snowboarding. She got the first seasons of two of our favorite tv shows on dvd, Eli Stone and Life. Oh, and she also got a Country Singer game for the PS2. Corey has a beautiful singing voice. I figured that she would get a kick out of the game and she is looking forward to playing/singing it too.

Corey got a digital picture frame. She has been looking at them for about 3 years now and I found a major deal on a Kodak one with WiFi yesterday at Walmart. They were supposed to be $265 marked down to $249, but the sticker said it was $228 marked down to $180. There were four on the shelf all marked the same. The funny thing is that the exact same frame without the WiFi capability made by Kodak was on the shelf for $179.97. For the additional 3 cents, I got Corey a much better frame! :woohoo:

And of course, Santa came by with some good stuff to make Poly Punch with as well as some candy and munchies that are not necessarily the best choices for either of us, but it's the holidays. We have a delightfully bad Santa. :lmao:

I got a new kodak easy share camera the second book in the twilight series and lost season 4. dh also got me a disney pixar collectable character set! he knows me soooo well lol!

Our big present will be a trip to Nova Scotia this summer to visit dh's dad and tour around where dh grew up! I can't wait for that!

My finest moments got played on the Podcast...what more could a girl want???

Oh, and I got a new electric fireplace...let's see Santa figure this one out!

I received a ridiculous amount of gifts, and am so very grateful for them all!

Nintendo DS in metallic rose
Cruisinart Ice Cream Maker
"Enchanted" DVD
Barefoot Contessa "Back To Basics" cookbook
Martha Stewart "Cookies" cookbook
Candles, candles, candles!
Target gift cards
Chocolate Oranges, Girardelli Squares, Lindt Truffles, Toffifay and Russell Stover Caramel Santas
Cash - my brother was here yesterday and hid two envelopes under the tree, one each for me and my dad. In each was a $100 bill!

The most fun was helping my two pug dogs, Max and Lucy, open their presents....the love all their new toys!!

My mom got me a new watch and a digital picture frame. I took over 1500 pictures on my Mousefest trip. Digital photography is great, but seeing the photos is tough sometimes.

I don't know what else I'm getting since we open the rest of our presents when my DSis and her family come over this afternoon. Then we go to dinner at a good friend's house. Mom and I aren't into cooking and when they said they wanted us to come for dinner 3 years ago we accepted. They loved having all of us over so much it has become our Christmas dinner tradition. Even better this year, they have a new puppy to play with. They brought her over to DSis's last night for Christmas Eve and she is so cute. Makes me want another one, except for that housebreaking part. Maybe an older rescue in couple more years when my Molly gets a little older. She is only 8 yo now and since she is a Bichon, I expect she will be around for another 8-10 years.

Kim

My trip see ticker and Wii Fit from my husband.

My best unexpected gift was from my babysitter of all people. She started working at the Aveda shop and gave me a box of devine shower products. I could never afford them but she gets a huge discount so I am spoiled rotton and love it!! She also remembered my husband and gave him the entire line of mens shaving products. If we purchased these items I am guessing the bill would have been about $250. So I am very much in awl of this wonderful person who takes such good care of our son. She is my pixie dust on a regular basis.

We got golf clubs. Well, actually an IOU for them since we each want to pick out the actual clubs as the season approaches.

I got a bunch of gift cards, yay more shopping!! My favorite is my favorite perfume - Gucci Rush 2, I ran out months ago and really missed it. My mom got me a couple of bottles of Riesling from a winery I tried at this years Food and Wine Festival.
So spill, what did you and John get?

A lovely new winter coat from DW, and lots of dvd's including Wall-E as well as a ps3 game from some good friends of ours :)

Although i bought Animal Crossing for DW and Pete was right, I haven't had use of the tv all day!!

Also bought her Disney Pictionary which I'm looking forward to playing when my family come over for evening snacks :)

:goodvibes

So what did Kevin and John get?? CorEy and Julie? Walter and Peter? Will??

Santa brought the monorail set and the Epcot ball (warning to parents the Epcot ball is also a voice changer and not a good idea for hyper boys ;) Ok good idea and fun for the boys not so much for the parents!)

Pokemon the first movie (Yes, Kevin you can borrow it! :lmao: )

Guitar World Tour thingy also...DH says it was for the boys but I am thinking it is for him :confused3
