Can I buy park tickets and link them to my reservation? I booked my room through Orbitz but I want to buy park tickets with my Disney Rewards card. Disney said I had to buy through Orbitz since I booked my room through them??

Sounds to me like a breakdown in communication! You link your tickets to your My Disney Experience account (not to your reservation). You link your reservation to your Disney account also. I haven't done it, but I bet someone on the Resorts forum can tell you how.

You can book your room through anyone authorized to book rooms.
You can buy your tickets through anyone authorized to sell tickets.

And, each of those can be linked to your MyDisneyExperience account.

No problem at all.

I must have had a reservationist that didn't know how to do it because I called back and after a very, very lengthy wait on a reservationist, I got my tickets with my Disney rewards card and Disney gift card and tickets are now linked!

I linked our tickets into MDE that we bought elsewhere. My mom went to AAA for her FL annual pass, and DH and I have military tickets. I just had to go into the MDE app and put in the ticket codes from the tickets they gave us, so now we can book our FP's. I would think you could buy your tickets through Disney if you wanted as they sell tickets separately for those that aren't staying on property. Maybe call again if you want to buy through Disney direct, or try any authorized ticket seller.
