I could use your help...let me give a little history.

We (hubby, me and our 3 boys) decided to head to the happiest place on earth back at the beginning of the year. In February my father had a heart attack and once he was home from the hospital, my hubby and I decided to take them with us so we booked them a trip. I wrote up a letter to them but made it to sound like they won this trip and we were the travel agency handling it for them (this way they couldn't say no - it was in the fine print! LOL). Once they got over the shock of the trip, they laughed at the travel agency part....and so it’s like a game with us now. After I made the dining reservations, I wrote another letter...and update so to speak and gave them a brief description of the restaurants and menus. I also let them know of the Family Magic tour I booked and then MVMCP. Once again they laughed. They had no clue that all of this was available so its fun to plan it all. A few weeks ago I wrote another letter letting them know of 2 more reservations and prepared a "gift box" for them with some travel things. They tell everyone they have a great travel agency handling their itinerary and often show the letters to others that are planning a trip. I hadn't planned on doing any other letters but the other day at the store I saw some Disney paper....a winter theme - and had to buy it. I figured I would figure out something to do with it later! I figured that it would be fun to make a daily letter to them for each day of the trip...such as a "must see" hint list for them. Each morning I will slide it under their door so I need to print it ahead of time and so I am starting on it now.

After that long background, what I want to know is what would you say in these letters?? What attractions for each park would you tell them they had to see (and mind you they will not do thrill rides....think preschoolers!! lol) Anything besides attractions you would let them know about?? Oh and what about the first day and last day of the trip....what would you say as a "welcome" and "goodbye"???

Thanks to all who can help me out on this!!! I know I am asking the right people!!!:cheer2: :woohoo: :cheer2: :woohoo:

Awww what you have done is so nice, wish i had thought of something like that for my mum lol

I think i am not the best person to say what should be a must see as i have not seen it all for myself yet.
What i would say tho is that you could also add in some little secret info tips about different things in the park.
I hope you all have a fantastic time at MVMCP,what date will you be there?

pixiedust: That's so neat! Sounds like a fun project too.
My first thought was to tell them to get fastpass for Soarin as soon as they arrive. My mom loved it and she's afraid of heights.
How about maps for them to go with the suggestions. I ordered those customized maps and I know they take several weeks to come but it says after you customize each map, you can print it out at home. Go to http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/wdw/index and select My Disney Vacation and there's a link to customized maps. It was fun to do too.

Just a quick idea --

I don't know where your ADR's are, but say you had one at Crystal Palace. On that day, you could put in the letter that Pooh and his friends are waiting to dine with you at such and such time. On the day of the MVMCP, you could say that Mickey and Minnie are waiting to take their picture with them in their Christmas finery. Things like that.

I am sure you know them well enough to plan most of their day. I would do a daily agenda. A welcome day - "so glad you are staying with us" after you have unpacked please join us for a welcome dinner at...., and whatever else you have planned for the day.

The next morning...Today is Magic Kingdom day, with (all the attractions you all want to see) nap time scheduled for (whatever time) , denote the fast pass rides you are all interested in. The custom maps for each park are great. You could even schedule adult rest time - the boys can play in one of the playgrounds.

The last day...sorry to see you go with a list of when you are having breakfast and when you are leaving for the airport, time your flight is getting in etc...

Have fun!!
