What would YOU say to start an argument on the DisBoards?

On another message board I've seen people really get into it over which city in the US has the most hills.:rolleyes2

Oh boy. I got in on a thread like that before as someone with a limited palate. It's a lose lose situation, that's for sure.

I also find this not only on here but in general life. For example, if you mention you like meat in any way other than so bloody a good vet could revive it, you get tarred and feathered. Should you mention you like KETCHUP on your steak, I hope you made yourself a will, because that posse over there looks awful angry about it.

Some other notable ones include guns, tour groups of a certain country, diet vs sugary soda is also a good one. I also remember the bread and the methods of buttering it issue, boy did that one strike me as weird to argue over...

I even managed to get someone insanely riled up by mentioning that gas prices are more expensive in the UK than in the US. Never mind I did my calculations right, I had to run for the hills that day before I found myself hanging from the nearest gas pump...

Ha ha, don't know why the truth would upset some over gas prices. It's a fact that prices are higher in the uk. ;)

In my region... Followed by a statement that implies my area is the best area. No one calls soda a coke unless thus actually want a coke

Duffy bear isn't a "real" Disney character.

speaking of regions.. "Im from (insert region here) so therefore I have manners"

I think people need to start posting links to offending threads. Then, if we choose, we can read said train wreck. :hyper:

ETA I tried searching for the buttered bread thread but couldn't find it.

Twenty of my best friends and I will be at Disneyworld in a week. We are SO excited. I'm sure not looking forward to that long trip from Brazil, though.

Jersey Week - how bad is it really?

I'm getting married soon. We have plenty of stuff, so what I'd really like to do is request that guests contribute to the cost of our honeymoon to Disneyland Paris. What do you think?

True story: There's a thread going right now on the DL board asking if it's OK for the OP and her 5 kids to "visit" for the day at the DLH pool with a friend who will be a registered guest. Not too many :goodvibes going on over there for that one!

(Sorry - too hard to copy links in my iPad...fat fingers and whatnot.)

I saw that one. Looked like she took the advice of "it isn't allowed" and let it go. Didn't see it turn too bad. Did it get worse?

looks like the newest way, is ask how to get rid of your child so you can get some quality alone time with your significant other.

lolz.... you beat me to it. That thread is one hot mess. Testament to the fact that when you put your business out there - arguments/opinions are sure to follow.

Apparently that thread has been "poofed" pixiedust: locking them is bad enough - it has to get pretty out of hand for one to be totally expunged from the record. :scared: I had one if mine get "poofed" once and I never really knew why...it was about a hilarious thread over on the Budget board where people were recommending that an OP sell her blood to raise money for her upcoming WDW trip. Some of the stuff on that board is pure gold...I mean really - shouldn't Disney be asking for proof of adequate 401K contributions and balances on college-fund accounts before they'll sell you a ticket?
