My ADR window is about to open.
What would you recommend? We will have 3 boys, 9,8,6years old, and a 6 year old daughter.
Epcot at rope drop, pool break, return for Akershus dinner and Illuminations. (never been to Epcot)
or
Epcot at rope drop, pool break, Ohana dinner and try fireworks from the Poly beach afterwards.
*My daughter is a big princess fan but we don't want to use the TS credits for CRT. If we don't do Akershus, I was planning to do Bippity Boppity and FP the princesses afterwards for her and I on a different day. Let the boys and dad go off on their on.

I think the Epcot at Rope Drop and Ohana is a really nice plan. Ohana's dinner is absolutely worth it. The kids will get a kick out of it. I wouldn't try anything terribly late as Ohana tends to run a little late with their seatings.

Your 1st choice is better for your young ones. Forget Ohana. For me it's the biggest joke ever. Food is too salty like really salty that it can be used as embalming agent during the medieval times. I won't bring my familt for dinner there again.

The fireworks show at MK is changing and may not be as viewable from a distance as Wishes is. We all really enjoy IllumiNations so if that's your only opportunity to see it, I'd suggest going back to EPCOT.

My kids were the ages of yours on our first trip. They loved EPCOT and the WS but missed IllumiNations because they would not rest in the afternoon and were sound asleep by 730pm. They did not respect "the plan" ;)

Last year when we went for our first trip they did really good with afternoon rests and late nights out. Hoping to respect "the plan" again. ha! I like that!

We are staying at AOA and will have a car.

Ahh, ok. I have planned a few Epcot, resort, back to Epcot days and they have never quite worked out as I envisioned! We end up staying longer than expected and then once back at the resort the whole idea of mobilizing to get back to Epcot starts to be less appealing. It's certainly possible if you keep everyone on schedule though, just never works out for us. :-)

Plans always so sound perfect beforehand. That's why I'm leaning toward a later Ohana dinner, incase we ned a longer break in the afternoon.

Disney put Villas on the Poly beach.

Regardless, I'm partial to breaking things up and not returning to the same Park after leaving.

Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique sounds like a lovely mother-daughter thing while the males break off for a while.

Disney Springs has way too many choices for good food. For our next trip:

I try to keep it simple so that my vacation isn't consumed by trying to fit everything in. If it was me, I would stick with the Akershus plan (much better food) and if you've not been to EPCOT before...what a great experience. Again, just my opinion, but watching the fireworks from so far away has no appeal. I know others love it, though.
