What would you recommend for packing for the parks?

This is the first time we will be making a trip to disney with two potty trained kids! Yeah!!! Although, hopefully 2yo dd makes progress in telling me when she needs to go w/ enough time to get to a restroom. Anyways, we have a sit and stand stroller that we'll be bringing. It doesn't have a very wide opening for the basket underneath. It's hard to get a backpack down there. When we went to WDW last summer, we needed to pack more, but we just took gallon sized ziploc bags to the park w/ our essentials in them. It was easy for security. Would you recommend this for DL? We'll probably only need to bring extra clothes for dd, wipes, snacks, suntan lotion... Nothing big or valuable. Our camera will be in a camera bag that we'll take w/ us on rides. Do you see any problem with anyone taking our bags out of the stroller?

You'll be fine. Just don't leave any souviners visible as these have been known to "walk away".

Personally, I don't think you'll need to put everything in plastic ziploc bags. Security is super easy to navigate at DLR, just open up your backpack or whatever bag you bring, security will take a quick peak inside and then your off.

With a backpack or other non-see through bag, you can then "hide" things in your bag when you're on rides. Folks are more likely to take what they can see vs. rifling through your bag to find something. This goes for DLR and anywhere you go. So if you put it all in a backpack you increase the likelihood of going home with all your things. However as a DLR vet, I can tell you that I've never had anything stolen from me while visiting, but I'm smart about it too.

You'll be fine with whatever you decide but if you do go for the plastic bags, make sure you cover them with a sweatshirt or something while on the rides. You can never be too careful!:thumbsup2

I don't have little ones anymore, but your comment about your little one letting you know in time to get to the bathroom caused me to remember that we found that the restrooms at DL to be spaced very far apart in comparison to WDW. I understand DL being built first, etc., etc., and I am not complaining, I am just saying that we did notice this, and if you are used to WDW, you may want to pay attention to your Park maps and scout out the restrooms in advance. :goodvibes

Funny! I think they have an ample amount...but I guess this comes from literally growing up going to the parks. From any spot in DL I can tell you exactly where the closest potty is! Sad, but true!

Personally, I don't think there's enough bathrooms at DCA. Maybe it's just because I'm not as familiar with this park? Last trip I had to run DS from Pacific Wharf all the way to the enterance just as the Electricial Parade was about to begin. I'm sure there was one closer but I couldn't find it or physically get to it.

So my advice, KNOW where the potties are!:thumbsup2 And everytime you pass by, use em! Even if they "don't have to".
