I'm torn between pins and rooms. In the end, I voted for pins. They may not be as good for trade as costumes and everything, but I personally have more fun collecting pins than costumes.

Rooms are nice, too, if they don't start selling them afterward. It makes it seem like less of an accomplishment when the prize you worked your butt off for goes on sale.
