I am so excited about planning a 2nd family reunion DVC trip 1.5 years from now... They had a great time 3 years ago, and I really want to top it....

Thinking about giving everyone a Disney sourenir bag. Everyone is a borderline-Disney-believer adults (including 2 teenagers) What would you put in it, if it's up to you? (Not too expensive please). Here is my list so far -

Disney cool neck wrap
$25 disney dollar
water proof disposible camera
disney raincoat

Maybe I shouldn't get overexcited.....

If they have a favorite character, or they remind you of a Disney character..get them a character pin.

You can also do this if they have a favorite ride or movie. Disney pins range from $ 3-15 depending on where you get them and what they are.

What about those little Disney washcloths that come in little squares? You can get them at the Local Disney Store. I have tons of them that I keep in the bathroom!! They are about $3.50 each.

what a great idea!!!

How about a lanyard and some pins??

( you have time to bid on them on ebay)

How many people are there? $25 seems like a lot to spend on D-Dollars if it's more than just a few. Good for teens, but I wouldn't give money to adults, anyway. And yet, I can't think of anything else. Would they wear Mickey ears?

Probably we'll have between 12-15 people. 2 teenagers, all the others are adults. They probably
won't want to wear Mickey ears. I want to give them something that are not useless (that's why I thought about Disney Dollars). But I know that would be very expensive.

Pins are good idea, though it may be a waste for the men in the group. They could care less.

How about doing the gift bag by the parties instead of individual? Then I can customize it slightly better, base of each parties' tastes. And maybe include something that are not Disney.

I love the wash cloth idea. :)
Where can I get the GOH badge ahead of time?

Tracy--head on down to TDS girl they have been on sale for .62 for a couple ow weeks now. I stocked up to send in small gifts and stocking stuffers.

Picture frames (disney) to go with the digital cameras. Often can find at discount stores or even clearanced at TDS.
Autograph books
Large Pens for autographing
coffee mugs

We got the GOH badges from gifts of a lifetime. They were great. I only got them for the kids, who would wear them daily. They absolutely loved the attention they got. CM always greated them by name. It also made pin trading more fun for the kids because often the CM would address them first and then they didn't have the "too shy" feeling of approaching them.

DH refused a GOH badge! Typical.

How about some pennies for the pressed penny machines?

Pocket sized fans (Walmart has some for $1.97)
Snacks (peanuts, suckers, etc.)
Disney pens and autograph books (I think TDS is having a sale on some of their pens)

Thought of something else....

calenders, for counting down the days.

We packed the wash clothes, M&M Mini tubes filled with shiny pennies for the pressed penny machines, a beanie for each, personal spritz fans, a fat pen for autographs . . . . I forget what else. We planned to get GOH badges there, but never did. I was really sorry we didn't get from gifts of a lifetime.

In addition to a family vacation T-shirt for each, I also made books with a section for each park called "Everything You Always Wanted to Know about MGM/MK/etc. (I was able to use a machine at work to give them a spiral binding.) I copied info from various threads here & other Disney fan sites about anything from the location of characters, pressed penny machines & hidden Mickeys to tips, hints, stuff not to miss, park hours, places to eat & shop, descriptions of the rides/attractions with a recommendation factor . . . .

Deb

PS I still have the files & would be willing to share if you PM me with your email address.

Thanks everyone! I now have more ideas than I can afford (money-wise).

I have now added more to the potential list -
- bottle strap.
- disney soaps
- custom made daily expense card

I'm so excited already.
