It seems as though the prices are comparable.... we will be on our honeymoon..

Pros for BC or YC Lake View:
Close to Epcot and MGM
Access to SAB
The Boardwalk
Never stayed there before

Pros for WL or AKL Concierge:
ITS CONCIERGE! (all the amenities...)
Fantastic themed resorts
WL is close to MK / AKL has the sunrise safari

So... what would you pick?? ... YC or BC concierge may be in our budget with AAA discount, just not sure yet ...

YC is supposed to be a little nicer and more adult. I love the location--right next to Epcot, close to Boardwalk and MGM. I find World Showcase to be a very romantic spot as well.

What benefits will you get concierage that you won't get at YC??

is for water view YC or BC. It's our favorite resort, and we will never stay anywhere else again. We tried WL this year to be different and were very disappointed. What we like is the Epcot Resort area. Love walking to World Showcase and walking or boating to MGM. We like the boardwalk area with all the shopping and dining. Plus, STORMALONG BAY. We don't have kids and find this to be the perfect place for us to be. I think it would be perfect for a honeymoon.

I know your other resort choices included concierge. We've tried concierge and didn't find it to be worth the $$. Only perk I noticed was the lounge food offerings. not a big draw for us.

I think WL and AKL are lovely resorts, but too far removed from where we want to be. I thought the transportation at WL was slow! Room was small and dark. Haven't stayed at AKL, but we've visited it and again, it's lovely, but too far removed for my taste. I like the Epcot area and being right in the middle of the action. Perfect for adults!

At the AKL you'll get a comfortable lounge to relax in. Continental breakfast in the morning, light snacks int eha fternoon, appetizers at dinner, desserts in the evening. You'll also get wine and cordials, unlimited coffee, tea, soda, African Smooth (YUM!) and expresso/cappicino.

Not to mention robes and upgraded toiletries in the room, turn down service automatically in the evening, and the chance to take the Sunrise Safari. I want to think all concierge rooms are deluxe rooms, there are make up mirrors for the ladies.

The lodge is VERY quiet. And watching the animals day and night from your balcony, well--that's just incredible.

At the AKL the concierge is the best at WDW. The personalized service is something you can't put a price on.

We've stayed at all three, and the AKL is DEFINITELY the most romantic!

Hello there, We haven't stayed either place yet but are planning on staying at the Yachtclub Concierge the first week of December.
We have stayed at Concierge level at different resorts in WDW and have had a wonderful time both WITH and WITHOUT kids. The 2nd time was GF with our 4 year old and they were so wonderful with him. It was also my birthday and my husband had a HUGE cake made there and delivered to the Concerge level lounge where it could be shared....everyone was so friendly. I was looking at Concierge this time because with three kids we think it will be to our benifit at breakfast time and in the evening for the hubby and I to relax with other adults. I'm sure that whatever you do....it will be the right one. Have FUN!:Pinkbounc :bounce:

AKL concierge is wonderful! If you are going in the summer and love to lounge around the pool, I might be swayed to YC or BC. In my experience the service at Y&B is lacking compared to the other disney resorts. We've tried it twice and have felt something was missing both times. BWI concierge is very nice also if you want to stay in the Epcot resort area.

I would say AKL for a honeymoon. We were on the fifth floor (non-concierge) and could see the lounge up on the sixth floor. It looke sooooo relaxing!!!!

Why don't you split your stay? Do a few nights at YC and then move over to AKL. It's a tough call. My mom has stayed at AKL and BWI and just RAVED about BWI.
