hello-- i am going in sept so i still have plenty of time for my dinning options-- but we are already coming up with a plan of were we want to eat at:) We still have one more place to chose and then trying to work each restaurant into our game plan for the day lol-- but we are torn between the following:

*whispering Canyon Cafe
* Big River Grille and Brewing
*Teppan Edo

we have never been to any of those above places-- please tell me which one you would pick, and why-- and the good, bad and ugly of any of the three-- or any other suggestion are welcomed:) thanks so much :)

Hi,

I have been to the Whispering Canyon Cafe for breakfast and it was a hoot. Great if you have kids. They play games and tell jokes during the meal. However, Teppan was my favorite meal. The grillmaster does tricks with his tools and the food is wonderful.

Whispering Canyon is really fun & has good food. We've been there more than once. Never done Big River, but thinking of trying it. Teppan Edo, however, is my favorite. Can't wait to go back!

We may be trying (if they come out with FD) Whispering Canyon for our kids this year. We stayed at WL years ago, with our door opening out to the lobby from the 4th floor. It took me 3 days to figure out what all the commotion was about, I thought there were cheerleaders out there.

I can't comment on BRG.

Teppan Edo and WCC were both good in my eyes, but Teppan Edo beats out by a notch just because we LOVE this type of meal. Being originally from the South, I can get the type of food served at WCC on a fairly regular basis, even though I did really enjoy their skillet for lunch. The show the chefs put on at the grill is fantastic, and it is really fun if you sit with a great group of people!

If you have a Japanese hibachi restaurant back home, then you don't really need to do Teppan Edo - it's all pretty much the same routine and the same menu. That said, we loved Teppanyaki (the earlier version of Teppan Edo) when we ate there. The food quality was top-notch.
We've also eaten lunch at Whispering Canyon. None of us got the skillet and all of us rated our meals as quite good. It wasn't too rowdy when we were there but it was fun anyway. I understand the "entertainment" can vary widely. You could eat there 10 times and have 10 different experiences in terms of rowdiness.
I would definitely eat at both of these restaurants again.

We've done one of the three--WCC--and we won't be going back unless we try breakfast. The service was terrible at dinner (there for over two hours) and the food was YUK.
