What would you like to see in the Navigator and what would you like to see changed? Is there anything that might help out us cruisers that should be included in the Navigator?

Are you talking about the "navigator" that is being put out privately for the repo cruise or the DCL navagators?

One key point--many people don't pay attention to the "cruise overview" navigator that comes out at the beginning of the cruise--it lists all movies, main shows, etc., and is very helpful.

The one thing that I seem to always miss seeing on the navigator is the times and places of the midnight buffets. I missed the Pirates Night buffet and didn't even know they had it until I read it on the DIS!!!!

Also maybe a condensed version can be made available to the guests like the servers have.

Kcashner, I am talking about DCL navigators.

Heidi, I seem to agree with you. I never know about the midnight buffets. Is it there or do we just overlook it? Condensed version is a great idea.

Please keep the comments coming.

I agree with Heidi and Sandy. I missed most of the buffets. I have not seen them on the navigator. This would be a nice if they added this to the schedule.

It would be nice to know on what days you can get pannai (sp) sandwiches at the Goofy pool. They also have special favors of ice cream certain days, it would be nice to know this. THe ice cream would be harder to let you know. I think they just amke what ever as they feel like it. Or once it has been requested.

The buffets and late night snack information is listed on the back page of the Navigator under "Other Dining Options".

We heard about the buffets from our dinner servers (sometimes more than once per meal). :cool1:

I think anything that has to do with food that is not a regular rotation meal should be highlighted somehow. Ex: the buffets (themed at lunch), snacks, midnight buffet, and the sandwiches and ice cream listed above by Jsme.

I don't remember if this is done or not, but a daily "events" could be on the stateroom TV. There should also be kiosks in a few places around the ship with a virtual version of the daily Navigator.

Don't recall seeing a daily events on the stateroom tv, but Navigators are posted in some areas on deck 9.

Yeah they are posted but it would be nice to have a virtual version available. I have to agree with pppiglet on highlighting the various buffets and such that are not the normal rotation.

I think we are all concerned about food on the navigator.....Sandy what about the juices??????????????????

I agree with the buffets, we missed a few! I also would like them to actually have the characters schedules posted. They give a phone number to call but the recording goes SO fast saying what characters, where and what time, I couldn't keep up trying to write them down and had to call back a couple times to find the ones we wanted - or walk down to the atruim and see the electronic posting. Having a toddler and being VERY far aft - walking to the atrium wasn't always a viable option. :rotfl:

One other thing I think would be COOL - is an electronic version posted on one of the channels of the TV. Maybe like the atruim monitor that posts things! Even if it was just some of the daily highlights - instead of the entire navigator.

Last week's Navigators list the Pirate Buffet, Gala Dessert Buffet, Late Night Snacks and even highlight the chicken wings and panini sandwiches at the Outlook Bar. ALL these are under the Other Dining Options section, back page of the Navigator.

What I would like is for the Navigator to be accurate. One evening it said that the Cafe Cove was open until 12:30AM and we were told when we got to Cafe Cove at 11:50PM that they were closing in 10 mins. The CM there mentioned they always close at 12:00am. Also on the Friday, the last evening, the Navigator said the pools closed at 6:00PM (so we packed our bathing suits), later we saw many people still using the pools and the hot tubs after 10:00PM. Maybe they were "rule breakers" but my guess is that the pools were not closed.

Virtual navigators, now that sounds like a cool addition!!!

Jsme, I think it is just a few of us thinking about juices! How funny.

Anything else? It doesn't have to pertain to food.

Good info. I didn't realize there were that many late night buffets or snacks. My family will be so happy! :cool1:

Sometimes I think that the navigator can look a little over crowded. I remember the first time cruising I was overwhelmed because of all the side stuff on the navigator like jewellery being sold, drink of the day, just all the stuff on the side.

Perhaps DCL could use "My Pal Mickey" to alert guests of the events, buffets, character opportunities, etc.
