We are planning our next trip for the beginning of December 2006. It will be me, DH, our three DS's (almost 6, almost 3, and 15 months). We had planned on doing The Poly Concierge, but now are unsure. Other resorts we are considering are AKL Savannah, maybe concierge; GF Lagoon View; or Ft. Wilderness Cabin. Which would you suggest? Or would you pick a different resort?

We want something the boys will enjoy as well as ourselves, especially with early park closings. And one that will make some ohhhs & ahhhs for Christmas. We do go to WDW every year and like to try new places, but realize that we are outgrowing many of our choices, which makes me think we should hold off on the cabin. But the seperate room sounds good, especially with such little ones.

I'm so confused!!!!!!!!!!!!! :confused3

Poly concierge hands down!!!! Heck, with 3 kids, the snacks alone would pay for the room!! ;-) I would take PC over AKL concierge! The monorail will make park trips especially easy! :earsboy:

Wilderness Lodge-it's just incredible that time of year! :earsgirl:

poly concierge all the way. The staff was great and the kids loved the food and watching the fireworks from the beach. :cool1:

Can I write in a vote for Wilderness Lodge? :teeth: You could go with a Deluxe or Concierge room.

We LOVED Poly Concierge! Everything was perfect!

size and age family (give or take) at POR. We were booked for WL, but decided to have more room (2 rooms) at POR. (We're taking the grandparents too.) I think the kids will love the theming and the pool. The Christmas decorations there are lovely, but we'll still do a little resort tour to see other decorations. If we could afford a monorail resort, we'd chose CR, because of the larger room size. Your kids (and mine) will probably be at MK a lot, so a monorail resort is a good idea. AKL sounds great too, but you're farther away from things, it seems, and the Christmas decorations may not be as traditional, if you want that. (Poly won't be either, I guess.)

Another write in vote for WL.

But if I had to choose between the ones listed.
AKL savannah

I just wanted to say thanks so far for all the opinions & votes!!! :cool1: Keep them coming.

My kids favorite park, believe it or not, is AK and we always spend a bit of time there. Then MK. But we will have a car (can't seem to do without it, even if it is hardly used on some trips), so location in that aspect doesn't really concern me. I want a general all around good experience.

We stayed at WL this last May, so we really are looking for something different. But if they have the better Christmas image to it... Of course, it really isn't a "Christmas trip", despite the fact I want to desperately see all the Christmas decorations having never been that time of year. It's more of let's get this trip in before DS#2 turns three (in about 4 weeks) and costs us much more $$$

I am curious if anyone can tell me why they are picking one over the other..????

Shamelessly bumping this up to see if I can get any more votes and reasons (!) as to why people voted the way they did.

I said WL because we really like it there. The theming and decor. Love the boat ride to MK. Beautiful resort.
But out of what you had listed, I like AKL. It is also a beautiful resort. Love the animals. LOTS of thing for the kids to do!
WL won us over!

With kids that young, I'd do Poly concierge. But, we're trying GF (garden view) for the first time next month, so my opinion may change! The monorail is definitely the way to go with kids! And, the rooms are pretty big, so you won't be too cramped.

We did the AKL with two small children, and honestly, it was too far away from everything. It's a beautiful resort, but until my kids are older, I won't be staying there again (though I will be eating at Boma!).

I voted for AKL Savannah view. You could request bunkbeds to get a little extra room. Just to forewarn you, if you choose AKL Conc. you are not guaranteed a savannah view. Poly would be my second choice. We will be at AKL at the same time.

Thanks everyone! I think we have decided to either stick with the Poly Concierge or go to AKL--undecided concierge or not.
