Dh & I planned a mini trip to WDW. We have a reservation for the Dolphin for one night. Now, we've decided to go the night before. I was going to Priceline a room for us. Then, ds & his wife have asked if they can drive up with us. She has NEVER been to any theme park. (So of course, my main goal as mil is making sure she gets to WDW!!!) We looked at the price of the values - and they were expensive - he's hoping to pay about $69 or less per night. (It came to well over $200 for 2 nights including tax.) I'm afraid if we wait for codes or postcards, that they'll be out of luck. We'd like them to book a hotel on Disney Property because then we can drop them off and not worry about them. Should we just go ahead and book even though its more expensive or wait? I'd hate for them to miss out. They were supposed to go to WDW for their honeymoon in October but she had a job interview so they nixed the trip. I'd hate for them to miss out again. Meanwhile,my PL plans are on hold until I see what they end up getting. Decisions, decisions!

Why not hold the reservation for both until either a code comes out, or time to cancel either one or the other comes up. With room only WDW resort ressies, you can cancel up to 5 days out without penalty. If a code does come out, then you can call CRO and have it applied to your reservation.

Thanks - I think that is what we may do. I'm going to wait until the first week in February and then probably have them reserve the hotel room. I think that no matter where dh & I stay that ds & his wife need to be on WDW property. That way they can come and go as they please with WDW transportation.
