Okay, this isn't weight loss per se, but need advice on clothing...
I found a great formal dress today (for my cruise) for a great price. It's a regular (not women's) size 16 petite. It fits perfectly on top (a miracle - I must be losing there), but is a bit too tight on the bottom. I wasn't wearing any pantyhose or slimming things when I tried it on and it pulled somewhat around my hips and rear. Both the salesladies thought it looked good, but agreed they wouldn't buy it because they might be uncomfortable when sitting -- the dress was very tight when I sat down. Oh, they didn't have a size 18 or 20.
My question is, would you buy this dress? It's next to impossible for me to find a formal dress that is a plus/petite. And, for less than 80 dollars. I think that if I have slimming stockings and underwear, it'll look okay when I'm standing up for pictures. I may be uncomfortable for dinner. I could use it again for a wedding in May (provided it doesn't get to be too big).
This is the first time in a long time that I haven't tried on a frumpy, flowy plus-sized dress, so I'm excited that it practically fit, but don't want to regret it when I'm on board and can't really get comfortable.
Advice, please!
Edited to add - I'm leaving on Friday.
