What would you do?

Help. My DW, DD 5 and DS 2 will be heading to ASMu this October. My DD absolutely loves to roast marshmellows so I was planning to do the campfire at FW. My question is what is the best plan for that day. Should I drive there in the morning boat to a park then boat back. If I did this we would probably eat at FW. Can we park there all day?

I'm not really sure if you can park there all day but I do know the parking is nowhere near the campfire. You would still have to take a bus from the parking area to the campfire program. You could do whatever you wanted during the day, then go park at FW, take the bus to Trail's End Buffet (the restaurant there, very good), then go to the campfire and then the bus back to your car. The way Fort Wilderness is set up, you can only bring a car in if you're staying there.

I forgot to put your other option in my last post!
You could go to the Magic Kingdom for the day, even eat dinner there, then take the boat to FW for the campfire program, then boat back to MK or take a bus to the TTC, where your car would be.

Thanks Melk for the reply. If we did take the boat from MK or Epcot would we be close to Trails End and the campfire. I was wondering if I would have to take the stroller for my 2 yr DS.

Trails End is right near the marina where the boat would let you off but the campfire is held at the Meadows which is in the middle of Ft W. You would have to take the bus from Trails End to the Meadows. If you don't have too much to carry, you might want to skip taking the stroller so you don't have the hassle of hauling it on and off the bus.
